Longest game.
What is the longest game that you have played in? I just finished a good one that lasted until 1919. All of my other games were finished by 1912. I was Austria and I came in second. There were multiple stabs and I lost each of my home centers at least once. http://www.webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=24687

Are there any other good long games

I need a quick answer...
In a Diplomacy game IRL, do we HAVE to use the set up that is used here?
It's pre-game and the phase is in 30 minutes.

Really? I hated it - just made me think of all the money they could have saved by removing him and just letting his researcher present the figures. Also, putting the swing-seats up on the wall in Vines crazy world annoyed me - the angle they were presented at meant I couldn't actually read any of it.

It's because the hexadecimal result ended in a 'D' so it converted it to the points symbol. But the math was right and no 'one' was wrong. At least not unless the server is now someone. :-)
Draugnar (0 DX)
11 May 10 UTC
Actually there was someone who was wrong. You were Ghost because it was something went wrong with the server code interpretting a hexadecimal value that ended in 'D' as needing the points symbol. :-P
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)
11 May 10 UTC
I haven't written any code for the site.

And you can get around the issues of the D symbol if you want to.
Draugnar (0 DX)
11 May 10 UTC
You said someONE was wrong when someTHING was worng, so the only someONE who was wrong was you. It's just semantics. And getting around the D doesn't work when you are just putting up a hexadecimal value like 123 D
figlesquidge (2131 D)
11 May 10 UTC
If you check, I'm pretty sure it was me who said it.
Well for me the D didn't even load, and as a result that Hex value was instead 99(dec), and thus wrong.
Draugnar (0 DX)
11 May 10 UTC
Then I'm also someONE who was wrong. <grin>
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)

Someone, somewhere, was wrong.

Not sure what kind of press there was in the national or international media (and most of the people on this site are too young to remember), but I was in the Philadelphia media market at the time, and it was HUGE.

Orkneys and Shetlands?
I know in a map of America, if you see a little box next to the map with islands in it, its Hawaii. What about a British map?
