Baby needs urgent help
So in Kid Cudi's song "Soundtrack to my life", there's a short guitar/piano riff which I'm pretty sure is originally from another song. Here's a link to Kid Cudi's song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-XW-fCoGE8

At 52 seconds, the riff starts (it's the high pitch riff). I can't remember which song that riff is originally in and it's killing me to the point that it's adversely affecting my work and my performance in live wta gunboats.

Wasr Is Not A Game (But When It Was... How Did You Like Playing It?)
Let's be honest: nearly all boys love to play war at some time in their life. REAL war is no game, but... again, to be honest, playground wars ARE one fun game! ;) So... what'd you guys play? "Cowboys and Indians?" "American Revolution?" "World Wars?" With what? How? War might bee hell, I'm sure it is... but when you're ten years old and with buddies on the playground, it can be an awesome afternoon (with exercise... and no blood, gore, and video game gut!) ;)

I'm hoping it doesn't turn into that. But what do you think, a doctor is now allowed to legally withhold information from you to influence your decision?

well, since everyone is getting crazy in this thread, my two cents shouldnt matter.

i dont advocate hitting women or hitting ready but you might compel me to use a woman to hit ready if i can get an SC out of the deal
If a woman is ready, I'd hit that

@ Dingleberry: Since I was kind enough to explain the meaning of "prat" can you tell us what a "queef" is?
Infinitum (100 D)
27 Apr 10 UTC
Anyways. I purposely not hit ready if I have extra time. Simply it drags the game to a point where people might CD and simply leave.
Jamie, I think perhaps you should look at Urban Dictionary. This way Ashleygirl doesn't have to say 'HEY' again

Hahaha.
"Was it Bill Hicks who said that the only reason we keep women around is because men can't blow themselves? "

Not sure, but I know it was George Carlin who said 'Why is the dog licking his balls? Because he can.'

@Infinitum, so you try to make it a boring game so the other players will quit, thus making it easier for you to "win". I gotta say, that is lame.

Observation: DingleberryJones, Jamiet, Draugnar - Three (of I'm sure many more) that apparently own the exclusive right to have an opinion and express it - generally in an offensive manner. I've even been accused of cheating in this post by making a general comment about hitting "Ready" - hardly an attempt to sway the activity in a specific game. I see these three all over these forums, generally making derogatory comments as if they are somehow superior. You're not. In general, I'd guess social misfits who can't carry on a real life conversation but become quite brave behind their anonymous web presence. Hell - someone on her even threatened that expressing my opinion on here will damage my standing in non-anonymous games. How pathetic that all you wanna-be enlightened folks would carry a grudge from a forum into a game. (If this does NOT apply to you, then don't take offense. If it does...then you are hopeless anyway.) OK, little children...blast away at me because I dared to disagree with you...

@Infinitum --- THANK YOU for actually making my original point extremely valid, despite Dingleberry and Jamie and all the other obnoxious fools that deny others an opinion. Infinitum uses the Ready button as an out-of-game method to try to defeat somebody by boring them into quitting. Don't give me all this "it's your right...blah blah blah..." he just admitted he uses it sportingly. Enough said - my argument is valid.
krellin (80 DX)

excuse me - I meant UNsportingly, before all your jump on my back for a simple typo.

@Dingleberry : One final whiel I'm at it - for being such a genius, you really had to ask what "prat" means? I would think someone with your apparent VAST intellect would know how to use a dictionary....maybe Google...I don't know, any one of a handful of ready resources might have answered that for you. Maybe you aren't quite the brain you make yourself out to be. No. Actually, I'm sure of it...
Draugnar (0 DX)

@krellin - If you don't think what you say here echoes into the game, then you are sorely deceived. I have had my share of attacks because of something I've said here. It happens and is a fact of DipLife(t). And everyone is allowed an opinion. Everyone can even state their opinion if they choose. But when they state it like the ass you obviously are, then they should expect to get beaten down in response.

I have behaved lately unless someone insults me for no apparent reason, then I go off on them. I'm staying behaved here, despite your arrogant and insulting tone. But I know I will remember this in any game I play against you and will gang up with anyone else who is willing to crush you and humilliate you.
fortknox (2059 D)
27 Apr 10 UTC
@krellin - while you are sitting and bitching about me not hitting ready, I just convinced your ally unready, change his orders to stab you, then ready again.

Never, ever, EVER ignore the advantage of additional communication. If you don't want to wait X hours for the turn to pass, join a game that has less time between turns.
Draugnar (0 DX)
27 Apr 10 UTC
@fortknox - I think he is talking about live gunboats (or someone was) where there is no real reason not to finalize when you are ready.
LOL, Krellin, you are too funny. Thanks, I've enjoyed your 3 days worth of posts here. - And Jamie and Draugnar and the rest can suck it, I've got my own post from Krellin!

Ok, let me try another tactic. You came to this site, what 3 days ago, and have been filled with nothing but bluster, and you seem surprised at the reception you have received.

The reason you got the tone of replies was because of your bluster. The reason people disagreed with your post was for legitimate reasons. (You didn't state it was a 5 minute phase when you started the thread, but there are legitimate reasons for NOT finalizing in 24 hour phase games and 5 minute phase games.

In a 24 hour game, which I think the majority of games here are, there are frequently lots of negotiations going on even when you have entered moves, so people don't finalize until thats done. In addition, alot of people know they can only do their diploming at x'oclock, so if they don't finalize, they can schedule their day accordingly.

In 5 minute games, I know some people put in moves right away and save them, but don't finalize, while they take the rest of the time pondering their moves and determining if it is the right move. Better to get in some moves than risk not getting in any.

No one is denying you the right to your opinion, and I suspect that if better expressed, you might have actually gotten answers that made sense to you. Express away. But if you are going to be a dick, don't be surprised with the responses.

And as for 'prat'. I had looked it up. The fact that I had previously told Jamie to go to Urbandictionary for 'queef' should have alerted you that perhaps I knew that the vast series of tubes contained a dictionary. However, urban dictionary sometimes misses the tone of a word - if I wanted to tell you that you were being a 'weinie' or a 'dick', they mean the same thing, but different tone. Prat sounded like the word an upper class British man would use who is above cursing, but I figured I'd verify that, and I assumed the many of the Americans on the site would not have run across prat either.

I think we should have a law to go along with Godwin's Law.

As the length of a thread approaches infinity, the likelyhood of somebody being accused of being e-tough approaches 1.

Confirm/Deny?

sticky posts
it has occurred to me that several threads in the forum keep coming up (ie: not posting accusations in the forum, email mods for questions). id like to see the mods sticky these kinds of forums to cut back on the recursiveness and give all the newbs some up front and relatively pertinent information.
