@hellalt - You said you find "annoying as hell" getting stabed and watching him get stabed next turn. I find that exciting because it opens whole new world of opportunities and negotiations. Start rebuilding your old alliance with a penalty for him stabing you. And so forth. Oh the joys of WTA will they never end :)

Just to put this out there, I'm not totally against WTA. It makes for a very competative and warlike atmosphere. It gets your adrenaline rushing and you can cut the tension with a plastic knife...

My argument is that points are worthless. They serve one purpose and that is to prevent new and inexperienced players from joining games they are not wanted in.

Points do not correlate skill nor how 'serious' a player is.

I'd take Onar's offer one step furthur and say you'd find a more serious game in WTA even if the ante were lower (as long as it remained above 100.)

The very nature of winner take all, no matter what game you're playing, makes the participants conduct themselves in a more serious manner.

I started playing PPSC and thought WTA is better, but after playing some WTA games (in fact, I´m playing only WTA games now) I came to the conclusion that the difference is not that big and what makes a good or bad game are the players on it.
This said, I won´t play this game just because I have too many games right now.

I never said that PPSC is impossible to take seriously. I only meant that with WTA you don't have the option not to.

Yeah, I can imagine the stress it would have on the players to not fool around. WTA is business.

If I'm to play a high end WTA game then I need to be playing less than 3 other games or else the pressure would be too much...
