Er, the reason Denis' rank hasn't changed is the October and November lists are identical. I guess it will come right on November 1st.

TGM - since August 1st I have only finished 3 games and all three of them ended in 3 way draws, yet my ratings seems to have soared. I realise quality > quantity in your rankings but this seems odd.

My rating is nothing to write home about, but going up 4714 positions must be something to celebrate.

3 3ways against good opponents, two in the Premier League, no less, is no mean feat.

I tried to reimplement the whole thing in a different language. I believe it should be the same, though the order the games were processed in may be different. What did you see change by a lot?

He called the ratings file for from midnight, 31st Jan 2009 "Ghostratings-2009-01" and I call them the February 2009 ratings. That is not a mistake though.

My rating from September seems to have changed from when it was first posted. Does this have to do with the new way of collecting the data or was this user error on my part?

My ranking dropped from 143 to 294. I'm guessing that's because I've been playing quite a few live games which were drawn due to logistical issues. My understanding is that your formula compares how well I'd be expected to do against the other players versus how well I actually did, is that right?

So for example if I have 200 and I draw with 6 players who each have 100 , then my ranking might go down? But if I draw with 6 players who each have 300 , my ranking might go up slightly? And if they each had 1000 , then my ranking would go way up?

I was referring to older month ends. You have me listed as number 1 for all but one month this year, but not now. Just trying to see what you had changed.
