Let me correct myself - all humans are "equal" in terms of we should give all humans an equal chance, view them equally until they prove themselves otherwise, etc. All humans are not the *same* though, and behavior can be predicted by gender, sexuality, etc to some extent.

Funny...for Thucy to think that all people are equal, he sure does like treating me different than other people???

Odd...because if I'm just a victim of my upbringing, society, gender, whatever, Thucy **should** have sympathy for me, and be consoling me....

Thucy is a hypocrite, though.

Thank Thucy, for playing my game. Good little dance monkey.

You know krellin, it's kind of sad how grossly you misunderstand my egalitarianism. I'm not here to debate it with you. I'm way beyond that. The only interactions I intend to had with you from now on will take the form of denouncing your revolting views and presence on this forum.
krellin (80 DX)

Thucy, it's kind of sad how much you *truly* misunderstand the humans around you.

I understand your psycho-babble perfectly well, moron. I simply and utterly *reject it* because I live in a *real world* populated by *real people*. You pretend to live in a fantasy land...and this is why you have no friends.

This study -- THIS STUDY in this thread -- it completely flies in the face of your beliefs about human behavior, you stupid fuckwad...only you are too stupid to see that, or too much of a soft pussy to admit it.
krellin (80 DX)

Everyone - please note how Thucy is afraid to actually comment on the topic, because it has been pointed out how if completely flies in the face ofhis stated beliefs. So, like a child who doesn't like the game anymore, he's going to pout and shout his insults.

Well done, Thucy. I assume this is falling right back in character with your 13 year old racist, misogynist childhood, right? Probably about exactly how you acted back then.

Rather than concern yourself with the misled opinions of a 12 year old boy in 2002, why don't you concern yourself with the repugnant and antisocial views of a grown man in 2014, namely you?
krellin (80 DX)
03 Feb 14 UTC
Thucy, you sad little putz....your *entire* self-delusion, your entire perverse, misguided lack of understanding of human behavior is all *built* upon the incredible guilt you still suffer because of the memory of what an asshole you used to be...so talking about your past...consider it therapy.

You perverse misunderstanding of humans based upon your racist, bigoted past is why you *reject* the notion that I assert -- that each human should be judged by their own behavior first and foremost. You, on the other hand, still hold *tightly* to the notion that each human must *first* be categorized by complexion and sex in order for you to determine the level of sympathy you have to give them before you even know who they are. You initial reaction to *every* human is to judge them and assign to them their inherent deficiency of their sex/color as you perceive it....making you, the brave White Knight...one of the most repugnant people I know
krellin (80 DX)
03 Feb 14 UTC
I also note that you hae not at all attempted to refute the notion that Bi-sexual and Homosexual men behave differently than straight men...and therefore...while equal...and certainly *different* and can and *should* be treated differently...For example, bi/homosexual men who have a higher proclivity towards steroid use, should perhaps int eh privacy of their high school counselor's office be watched more closely for such behavior out of *love* for them and the desire to protect them from self-harming behavior.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
03 Feb 14 UTC
"that each human should be judged by their own behavior first and foremost."

The study you posted in the OP opposes that belief. You still haven't answered what good purpose that study can be used for other than to spread hate and fear for a certain type of people based on a stereotype.
krellin (80 DX)
03 Feb 14 UTC
y2k : FIRST you judge by behavior. But that doesn't mean that other factors are not secondary to dealing with a person. Most women like pretty thigns...I won't go out with a chick that acts like a bitch - first and foremost, her behavior rules her out...but once I know she isn't a bitch, I might go out with her. So, first date, when I bring her a little something, I'm gonna opt for the flowers, becuase there is a high probability the female likes flowers.

As for this study - I did to point out how the study can be used -- in high schools, where guidance counselors can be aware of the higher probabiltiy of steroid use in gay/bi men, the counselor should know and look out for said behavoir to protect the youth.

They do this sort of thing all the time - watching out for the kids liely to be bullied or whatever, or to be bullies. OK, so here is data that can be used to help a kid...that's a positive outcome of this study.

I wonder if the steroid use is commensurate with a larger percentage of gay dudes regularly lifting weights? If gay dudes are twice as likely to use steroids, and twice as likely to hit the gym, then all this study is saying is straight dudes are couch potatoes.
krellin (80 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
Yes, the social dynamic behind the cause would be interesting to understand. If, in fact, gay/bi dudes are more interested in their appearance for the purposes of attracting a partner, for example, does that suggest the women are less discerning/care less about appearence in partner selection....or does the couch potato effect contribute to the 50% divorce rate? (What's teh "divorce rate" of gay/bi men? data probably doesn't exist for real comparison) Or are gay/bi men just really, really vain?

It's such a huge number, it would be interesting to understand its roots.

"once I know she isn't a bitch, I might go out with her. So, first date, when I bring her a little something, I'm gonna opt for the flowers, becuase there is a high probability the female likes flowers."

What does MRs. Krellin have to say with your dating other women? :-P
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
04 Feb 14 UTC
Is it really that interesting or hard to understand why it's the case that more gay dudes would use steroids? The average gay dude cares more about his body than the average straight dude because of who they are trying to attract. Girls fall for guys for any number of reasons, but guys are more physical and superficial more often than not. But even then, say 1% of straight guys do illicit steroids. That would mean, assuming the main claim of this study is correct, that 6% of gay guys do illicit steroids. The 6x phrasing implies an epidemic that someone who wants to find a problem with gays would harp on. But it really isn't anything useful to know and shouldn't be interpreted as a need to look out specifically for steroid use among gays. Again, unless your goal is to demonize them, then you're doing a good job.
krellin (80 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
"The average gay dude cares more about his body than the average straight dude because of who they are trying to attract."

So you are saying that men and women are fundamentally DIFFERENT in how they views others and determine worth in a mate?

I hope you are prepared for some venom from the local White Knights of Equality...
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
04 Feb 14 UTC
Yes, men and women are different, I'm not contradicting that claim at all.
krellin (80 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
<y2k - please, my goal isn't to demonize gay/bi dudes. Frankly, steroid use should be legal, if you want to discuss that. There is always an alterior motive to my posts, silly boy...just play along...you actually hit on *one* of those motives...>
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))

If men and women weren't different, how would transgendered people exist?

"Yes, men and women are different"

I'm just waiting for the reactionaries to come vilify you and call you awful names now...see if they have a consistent set of vocal beliefs, or if they just look for any excuse to attack select forum members...

Thank for being guided into stating the obvious, though.

I don't think people are going to yell at me because I'm not a dick. They may debate me, but they won't yell at me. It's more than your views that get a rise out of people, you know that.

Men and women are, on average, different in some aspects and not so different in other aspects. No one in their right mind would say anything else. What's the point of this obvious assertion?
Draugnar (0 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
It's 21%, dude, not 6%. More than 1 in 5 gay or bi guys admitted using illicit steroids according to the survey.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
04 Feb 14 UTC
Krellin seems determined that Thucy's claim of treating men and women completely equally as good should be bashed to a pulp.

Thucy is the new YJ. Krellin is the same old krellin.

Quit now, thucy, I know what road you embark upon. It isn't worth it.
y2kjbk (4846 D(G))
04 Feb 14 UTC
Ok, so 3.5% vs. 21%. My claim that it's reaching for an epidemic that isn't there still holds.
oscarjd74 (100 D)
04 Feb 14 UTC
Do we have a quote of Thucy claiming that men and women are equal rather than them just having equal rights?
krellin (80 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
y2k - Well, Thucy seems hell-bent on bashignto a pulp anyone that disagrees with his claims. I thought this forum was all about intellectual dialogue???? So...am I supposed to pose this question, or am I just supposed to shut up? I'm being polite, I'm directing a discussion to elicit a point that I am trying to make from other's mouths to support my claim....what's the problem?

(As to your assertion that Thucy has a right to bach me and call me names because of how I behave...yeeeeeahhhh...whatever. You are only supporting everything I have ever said, and justifying my behavior, for, as I have explained, my *very first* experiences on WebDip were that Liberals are *grosssly* intolerant of opposing viewpoints, and generally attack the messenger, not the message. Even in Thucy oh-so-dignified responses, he is *always* quick to label anyone who disagrees with him as a bigot, misogynist, etc. So please...let *stop* pretending that Thucy is dignified, as he is *nothing of the sort*)
krellin (80 DX)
04 Feb 14 UTC
@oscar -- for as much as you mouth off and attack people, it would sure be nice if you had a clue what you are talking about. That you know nothing about Thucy's stance on such an important issue to Thucy makes me wonder *a lot* about you and your liberal attack dog ways of late, as you have been Thucy's snarling defender...andyet you know nothing of him and what he has said? lol It certainly just proves my point that you are just a viscous little attack dog, right?
oscarjd74 (100 D)
04 Feb 14 UTC
Attacking the messenger seems to be a forum wide thing, not just 'libtards'.

One of the guys...
Thucy really made me think...so I decided to treat my wife just like one of the guys, men and women being perfectly equal in all respects and all that. So when I walked by her, I slugged her in the arm, said, "What's up, dick?" (Just like I would to Draug if I met him) and farted at her.

I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. Apparently she doesn't WANT to be one of the guys...

I didn't even watch (instead, I took the opportunity to run a lot of errands with zero traffic - woohoo!), but I find it really hard to believe that a contest between the two best teams in football could produce such a lopsided result. I wonder who the people who made tens of hundreds of millions of dollars betting on this game were.
