"Because he's the Stephanie Meyer of sci-fi writing. He gives sci-fi writing a bad name, and that's hard to do."
1. This from the guy who thinks all literature's pointless and a waste?
2. No, he's not,
3. Not an OSC fan--I think he's sort of like Philip K. Dick and Chuck Palahunik in that they have interesting ideas, and some good lines, but I'm not too much of a fan of the product as a whole--but yeah...he is NOT the Stephenie Meyer of sci-fi because Stephenie Meyer's an incompetent hack who has no concept of plot, character development, writing anything besides vapid, shallow, or disgustingly-stupid caricatures...
And OSC is just...eh.
4. Granted, you have it in for all fiction writing--and all fun, for that matter, but we'll leave that out of it for the moment--but what do you have against sci-fi writing? Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, H.G. Wells (socialist, you should like him), Robert Heinlein (not at all a fan of his right-wing apologias, and I think in some ways he's the Stephen King of sci-fi, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think he had one or two decent books.)
5. Again...you take everything black and white...
