Equally, Celtic -- For example, I get a resume - I review it for skills, experience, etc. I contact a person, I talk to them to guage their behavior, if it will fit with my client's needs (say it is a position that requires strong communcation skills, etc)...it makes no difference to me if you are male, female, black, green, etc....everyone get an equal chance.
But let's say I'm going on a date with a women for the first time. There is little chance that my first instinct is going to be to bring my football to toss around int he yard, versus bringing her flowers. Even Thucy himself resented me "feminizing him" by suggesting he likes pretty things....so even the noble white liberal in a moment of stress admitted that there are generalized differences between men and women.
YES...some women would love to throw the ball around...and honestly, I've been known to cut fresh flowers for the kitchen table because *I* like fresh cut flowers.
But to deny that there are certain behavioral traits common and uncommon between men and women is to deny reality, in my 45 years of observation of humans.
So call me a sexist if you want...but I think that 1. I treat all people equally until they give me reason not to, and 2. I believe the men and women are different, that their brains are constructed differently, that their differnce hormone balances cause them to beahve and react differently.
I could go on...I won't...you get the gist.
If that makes me a villain, then so be it.
