Awesome! Fuck the haters! He is the hardest working mod/admin here and had a thankless job trying to enforce a line that people constantly tried to cross (myself included). He didn't make the line, he just did his best to enforce it. Good job Jmo, know that you'll be missed by many of the less vocal crowd!

Convoy Cut Support
If I convoy a unit to a province and support such that it dislodges the fleet in that territory, I get it. That's straight forward. However at the same time, the piece that would be dislodged by a successful convoy is supporting another fleet to attack the unit convoying my unit and if there was no convoy my "convoying" fleet would be dislodged. Does the convoy succeed?

Haha Putin you can't put people in jail for saying crap like that. He's an idiot and a loudmouth, but that isn't hate speech and isn't inciting anything to violence. It wasn't racially charged and at no point did he suggest anything "ought to be done."

So please, tell me what laws he's broken, beyond just your opinion that his words are deserving of prison time.

tendmote (100 D(B))

@Putin33 That and the other tragedies you referenced were preceded by a lot more than trash talk. They were preceded by things like divide-and-conquer colonization, distribution of machetes, drug abuse, insanity, and many other things that aren't related to Ted Nugent ranting at a performance.

I regret being lured into having to address real topics with you as an interlocutor again. Godwin's law needs to be amended; the new inevitability is Putin supporting his ridiculous arguments by introducing one or more super heavy, but weakly attached, related tragedies.

"Really, ask Gabby Giffords if it'd be a "sad day" for so-called "trash talk" to be punished."

The canard that her shooter was inspired by right wing politics has been thoroughly debunked for years. You're just lying now. He is a schizophrenic with paranoia. That's what made him do it. And, if anything, he was politically on the left. Not that it matters with regards to his inspiration, but it's a huge hole blown in this outright lie you're perpetuating.

Deeper still I'm trying to remember any thread in this forum that Putin33 hasn't tried to usurp by introducing some strident argument about something small, appealing to some specific tragedy or colossal consequence, then tirelessly doing that same maneuver with different specific examples. Ted Nugent said some shit to some people, now it's Rwandan genocide and assassination attempts? Man alive, no historical event is safe, even in a discussion about oatmeal or something. How about some oatmeal, Putin33? Oh shit, another ice age now?

krellin (80 DX)

SERIOUS COMMENT: OK, so let me get this straight: If you *fucktards* want to use an individual tragedy - a shooting of a person that was commited by a (left leaning) lone-acting gunman, then that is OK, even though whatever cause you are babbling on about has nothing to do with the actual event, and most likely whatever you are advocating for wouldn't have been prevetned....so USING the brain dead for political purposes is A-OK....

But if I crack a little joke because I find your thread discussion to be of little more value than what is left of Gifford's brain, I'm somehow a terrible person.

Is that about right?

YOU can use the brain dead for your personal agendas. I can't. Got it.

How do you know how good his muzzle and trigger discipline skills are? Believe me, I'd take that M14 away from him the instant that he did something unsafe, such as NOT keeping it downrange or touching the trigger before he's ready to shoot.

Who said anything about fighting him? I just said I'm not going to allow him to continue to shoot unless he demonstrates the ability to handle it appropriately.

Guns have great power, and with great power comes great responsibility. Keep it pointed downrange and keep you finger off the trigger, kids.

2. WTF, krellin, even for you...seriously going to joke about Gifford's getting shot in the head? I mean, there's dark humor and then there's "Hey, what's black and blue and red all over? Your wife after she was beaten and raped and shot to death AHAHAHAHAHAHA I'M SO FUCKING HILARIOUS."

3. So Ted Nugent, Rush Limbaugh, and krellin walk into a bar...someone finish that joke, please...
Putin33 (111 D)
11 Nov 13 UTC
1. YJ, never said necessarily any laws as currently understood could lead to Nugent's imprisonment. That's the great pity. You can act like Ted Nugent, tell people to suck on machine guns, and there are no consequences. People would rather protect the Ted Nugents of the world than do anything about violence and the violent rhetoric that contributes to violence. Our priorities are messed up.

2. I never said the would-be assassin of Giffords was motivated by rightwing politics. It doesn't really matter. The toxic political atmosphere of violent rhetoric and the dehumanization of public servants contributes to the frequency of these tragedies. That's not in dispute.

3. Mr. Tendmote, far from me exaggerating the seriousness of violent & dehumanizing political rhetoric by making comparisons to violent tragedies preceded by violent speech, you're trivializing it by comparing Nugent's speech here to a discussion about oatmeal.

"You can act like Ted Nugent, tell people to suck on machine guns, and there are no consequences."

Exactly right. The first amendment guarantees everybody the right to talk like an idiot once in awhile, or even all the time! Isn't it grand? If you don't like it use your RL mute button and stop your censorship. All he's doing is sharing a (stupid) opinion. You're the one who agrees it isn't violent or hate speech, but you still think he ought to be in prison for it?

Scary.
