This thread is ridiculous. Cheating accusations on the forum, however veiled they are, are not tolerated and will result in a warning or a silence. This is to protect the members from the site from potentially unfair harassment by the forum members which would affect future games they would be in.

I think this is a nonsense statement, if people keep making false accusations on the forum they will get lambasted by the regulars, the exact opposite will happen where the accusers will be harassed by forum members, these laws, like the 4th amendment, need to be repealed.

I'm probably signing up for a painful conversation here, but what exactly is your problem with moderators SYnapse? I've seen a ton of posts from you since yesterday saying we're Nazis, etc.

If this is coming from philcore's silence you should know that Kestas personally made a rule saying all accusations against other players must be made in private because he didn't want the forum community to start witch hunts against players. This type of witch hunt had started in the Tyranny Alert thread, hence the warning, and then the silence when someone ignored the warning.

If that isn't where this all started from please explain in a way that doesn't require me to solve xOR/exclusive OR problems.

It wasn't the fact that you muted philcore, it was the fact that you muted him contrary to jimgov, jamiet99 and others who did exactly the same as him.

There is, I admit, also a level of satire in my posts. I think you should unsilence philcore early as a gesture of goodwill and leave it at that. Everybody makes mistakes.

I was not involved in the silencing of philcore, but I'll speak my opinion.

First, philcore was the first person who made a cheating accusation AFTER jmo said that anyone who makes a cheating accusation henceforth will be silenced for 24 hours. It's not as if jimgov and these others who the mods supposedly like did the same and we didn't silence them.

Second, you are operating from the point of view that philcore didn't realize what he did or that he disapproved of what jmo did. What happens when/if philcore speaks up and he says that he agreed with jmo? That he made an accusation and jmo acted correctly?

Third, a level of satire? Please point out where the satire is and let's discuss whether it is satire. My take on it is that you made a thread that people made fun of and now you are backing off and you are taking a slightly different stance.

Let's not discuss anything without philcore

SYnapse, as Zultar said, philcore was the first person to make an outright cheating accusation after I warned the next person to do so would be silenced for a day. I'm not sure why you're operating under the assumption that I made a mistake. People were breaking the site rules, they were warned against it, and then silenced when they didn't stop. It's that simple.
