31 Dec 12 UTC
NFC:
6. MIN @ 3. GB: The PACKERS won't blow it at home in a rematch
5. SEA @ 4. WAS: RGIII out-duels Russell Wilson at home in a wild one, REDSKINS win
4. WAS @ 1. ATL: Going with the Falcons' history here, choke+RGIII=REDSKINS upset
3. GB @ 2. SF: *Who* won 30-22 to start the season vs. GB, and on the road? 49ERS!
4. WAS @ 2. SF: No Giant upset this time...Alex started it, Kaep's finishing it...49ERS!

AFC:
6. CIN @ 3. HOU: I can't imagine they won't be able to stop the bleeding totally, TEXANS
5. IND @ 4. BAL: Tempting upset, but not at home with a rookie QB in Luck...RAVENS
3. HOU @ 2. NE: The Monday Night Massacre, Part II...PATRIOTS
4. BAL @ 1. DEN: Denver's hot, and has Peyton, that's enough to pick the BRONCOS
2. NE @ 1. DEN: Ah, Brady vs. Manning again...on pure feeling, the PATRIOTS.

So, Week 15 Sunday Night Football will have been a Super Bowl Preview:

SUPER BOWL XLVII:

49ERS: 26 PATRIOTS: 24

I have the only unbiased predictions of anyone yet. Anyone else want to give real input rather than idiotic fan input?
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 Dec 12 UTC
I disagree, my bias led you to pick against the Seahawks. RG3 might be a bit better than Wilson, but the rest of the Hawks are better, and they're really hot.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))
31 Dec 12 UTC
So the Redskins aren't hot? They started the year 3-6. They're currently 10-6. That's a seven game winning streak. What's your definition of hot?
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 Dec 12 UTC
I meant physically attractive, what did you think I meant?

They're both hot. The Seahawks have won five in a row and seven of their last eight, and have done so in rather brutal fashion. It'll be close, but I finally get to watch a team win something, and you aren't going to take that away from me.
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
31 Dec 12 UTC
Hey, be fair, bo_sox...

People before the season were saying 49ers/Patriots was a possibility...

Mine's plausible!

...IT IS fan-fueled here a lot, but can you honestly say that at least the two games I project us winning in the NFC playoffs (against the Packers, who we've already beaten this season and did so on the road, and against the Redskins) is far-fetched?

The Niners over the Patriots is a dream, maybe, but then we also did just beat them...

I'll concede a SB win might be a fan's dream, but everyone else seems to think we'll lose to the Pack in the first game we play when we WON that match-up this season.
Well, since the stupid Bears and the stupid Vikings spoiled my day, here's my input.

WILDCARD:
Colts v. Ravens: COLTS. I have to go for them. Partially out of a general disdain I have for the Ravens, and partially because frankly the Ravens aren't playing like a good team.
Bengals v. Texans: BENGALS. Now, usually I love love love the Texans (have for years), but 1) I enjoy rooting for the underdog and 2) The Texans have lost what, 3 of the last 4?
Seahawks v. Redskins: SEAHAWKS. The better all around team, imo. RG3 is the better QB, but Seattle has the better defense and the better RB and receiving options.
Vikings v. Packers: PACKERS. No way they'll lose the rematch. AP can run all he wants (and he looked damn good today), but I don't see it happening.

DIVISION:
Broncos v. Bengals: BRONCOS. Manning can tear up any defense, let alone this one.
Colts v. Patriots: PATRIOTS. Sorry Luck, you won't be facing Papa John in the playoffs. I mean, its the Patriots....and they've learned how to run the ball. You can't top that.
Seahawks v. Falcons: SEAHAWKS. Falcons will choke choke choke all the way back to the locker room. Seahawks will crush them this year as bad as the Giants did last year
49ers v. Packers: 49ERS. Even with Kaepernick in, they'll grind their way to the win. The Pack will probably catch their annual January case of the dropsies.

CONFERENCE:
Broncos v. Patriots: PATRIOTS. As much as I'd want Peyton to cap off his MVP year, I just don't see how the Broncos could finish this team off. It'll be really close, but Brady will find a way.
Seahawks v. 49ers: SEAHAWKS. Maybe they could have won if Alex Smith was in. I'm not sold on Kaepernick just yet.

SUPERBOWL:
SEA MOTHERFUCKING HAWKS

jk. PATRIOTS will take the win in an awesome game

Bengals have won 7 of their last 8. they are 0 and 6, and they have only lost 2 road games this year. On the road, they crush the opposition. Si I still say WHO DEY!!!!!!!!!

Sorry ghug, all I was doing is prove that you pointed out things that can be argued either way. Apologies if biased arguments are the only thing allowed here. I thought we were allowed to expand our reach outside of our own sphere of fandom when it came to predicting, oh, the entire league. My mistake.

Streaks are hardly a predictor anyway. The Colts are hot but I'd never predict them beating either the Skins or the Hawks. It'll be a shootout.

@Obi... the only thing that could beat the Patriots is themselves - which they did the first game in the first half. Bill Belichick is a brilliant coach but has his moments... you'd need one of those moments. Nuff said.

AFC:
Bengals@Texans: the Texans will suck, but will still win.
Colts@Ravens: Will the miracle happen? I say yes. Colts

Colts@Broncos: Upset. Colts
Texans@Patriots: The Texans haven't learned anything. Patriots in a blowout.

Colts@Patriots: The Patriots are going to get a rude awakening but will win by a single possession.

NFC:
Vikings@Packers: Upset at home. Vikings
Seahawks@Redskins: Seahawks, after a shootout

Vikings@Falcons: I also think the birds will choke. Vikings here
Seahawks@Niners: Alex started it. Kaep will finish it. With a loss.... Seahawks

In a miraculous wild card championship:

Vikings@Seahawks: The Seahawks will destroy the Vikings.

SUPERBOWL:

Patriots vs Seahawks:

Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson will run circles around the Patriots D-line and secondary. Wilson will do a decent job of picking apart the secondary. The Patriots will have no running game, but Tom Brady will destroy the Seahawk secondary.

Final score: 21-20, Seahawks
Just looking at other people's predictions, bosox has an almost identical postseason prediction to mine. Spooky.

YJ,
First: Seahawks v. Falcons: Falcons and then Seahawks v. 49ers: 49ers. The Seaahawks are magical, but not that magical.
Second: Both of those picks are terrible, I suggest you try again.
Dalton to AJ, texans going down!
Wait? You mean the Falcons are winning this year? Huh, that would explain all the extra people buying chips on the junk food isle yesterday.

An All-Male Discussion on Feminism, "Feminism," and Atheism...This Should Be Fun...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKKQdJR7F_I Frankly, I think that's a fair point--these people do NOT represent a very good side of either feminism or atheism, in my opinion...there's Feminism, and then there's "Feminism" or, as it might otherwise be put, "Demanding that everyone agree with your views full stop or else libeling them." Real feminism and real atheism is, I think, being somewhat "poisoned" by this increasingly-smug, self-assured band of PC Police.

CD or hold everything?
I'm in a gunboat at the moment where one of the players - who has no shot at winning anymore - has decided to hold every turn giving SCs to the largest player, in effect throwing the game. I'd prefer if he would just CD so we can get somebody else. Are there any (un)written good practices?
