I have no idea what GR means, but I'm in if I can be.

GR is Ghost Ranking is a measure which has ranked all the players on WebDip from 1 to 2689, based on their results to date. I've found a very reliable measure of getting excellent games.

Hi martinck1, I'm on GR 48 at the all-time list, however I'm not on the most recent lists since I have been off this site for some time. I'm game!

If this is a game for people ranked on the current list then I would like to play.
My rank is 22 for October.

Ill play, even though my ghostrating isnt that high yet. Although all who have played me would agree id be compeditive at least. and ill be in that top 50 sometime, i have 50 years of life to get there

On the overall list I think its 230, BUT I haven't played in over a year, I just joined 5 games and won the last 3 and the other 2 are still going... but yeah, i can't see myself even on the october list so no idea really how it works.. But I will provide a good challenge if you let me..

Perry would, I'm sure, be a great and fun competitor. However, I was attracted by the GR aspect of this invitational. Perry currently has no GR quantity.

That's a bit harsh man, He's obviously decent based on his records...

That's a shame. I checked Perry6006's last active GR which is 287.2, I think it was August 2011. Admitably that would put him at about 63. I understand that he would effectively come not the game at that level. Does that change your mind?

@ Sargmacher, i think a good score on the all time GR would be a better one comared to that of october 2011. Why? Because there is a lot more competition.

@gramilaj: Yes, that's right. I'm not ashamed to admit that. I thought that's one of the reasons this game was being set up.
@Victorious: Yes, that's true if you are measuring overall competitiveness but from the perspective of having 6 other players who would present an immediate opportunity in terms of GR share then no it would not.

@martinck1: Do you mean to say that, despite Perry not appearing on the list, his current actual GR rating would be 287.2? I was under the impression that him not being on the list meant that his current rating was 0.

Any interest in doubling or tripling the bet, by the way? So far, we all have a fair number of points.

@Frank - I don't think we've played before, that's great - you're in.

@sarg in case this wasn't cleared up already, his GR doesn't disappear it just isn't listed. As martin figured, he would buy in at the 287.

Sarg, you are wrong; his GR is still 287, he is just not listed. However, at a rating of 287, he wouldnt be in the top 50 anyway

@Sarg - I'm no expert on this. But if you look at the most recent list, you'll see someone like Agent K came straight back as a re-entry at position number 16. He couldn't have done this from one or two games. I think your last active ranking is used if you come back. Perhaps someone else knows the answer to this.

Having said that I set the criteria at top 50 and you are entitled to hold me to it. So in that case, I will set up a second game and invite Perry to that.
