No game comes close to comparing to the RPG's/Adventure games of the late 80's and early 90's. I'll take one of those over the generic stuff that is spewed out from most companies these days.

I like the PC most (add me on steam: kestasjk , esp if you play L4D), a 360 would be nice but the platforms are so similar that games will always end up being on both. You can even get the 360 controller for the PC


While we're here anyone own a racing wheel? I've always wanted to get into racing games more, but find it impossible to control anything but the most arcade-y games with the keyboard.. :-( Anyone know if it's game changing or just an advantage?

I've got one for my xbox, but I gave up on using it a while back. I found that the controller is much more responsive than the racing wheel, but given that I don't drive in real life, my knowledge is somewhat limited.

I cannot tell I lie I have to agree with Vamosrammstein. KOTOR 1 and 2 are two of the best games of all time. I prefer RPG games over all other games because of it's open endedness. The abilty to replay a game over and over without expierencing the same path is truly amazing. As for FPS I'd have to say Goldeneye for N64 or Rainbow Six Vegas 2 because in Rainbow Six the computer is not an idiot at all so I can actually play the game with just myself or a friend and not get bored at how easy it is. Also World Of Warcraft and Civilization II just because I can't stop playing.

I enjoy RPG's mostly, but for shooters? I have to make my pick Star Wars battlefront II.

I'm with the RPG crowd on this one - Oblivion is my favorite, I would recommend it to any RPG fans. Best game I ever played.

XBOX 360 fan. Bioshock, Fallout 3, and Call of Duty 4 are some of my favorites at the moment. N64 is great as well with Goldeneye, Zelda, and Mario Kart. My gamertag is winterfresh900

PC has a majority of games that are worth getting these days.

Warcraft 3 (Dota), HL2, Super Metroid, and Metroid Prime games, Super Smash Bros, and Eternal Darkness.

I play Left 4 Dead but on the 360. Im really good too,but im getting it for the PC when i get my laptop for college . Ill definitely look you up then.

Oblivion would definitely have to be the best RPG ive ever played too. Watch though. Fallout 3 was amazing too and a new Elder Scrolls is due by Mid-2010 so its going to be a mix of the two. Hopefully a good mix.

And,has anyone played Prototype? I definitely recommend it. Excellent game. Im currently still getting the last 3 achievements,but everyone should check it out.

Prototype looks awesome - i've only seen my friends playing it at lan cafes, but def. check it out.

i play CoD4 a lot....im ranked in the top 6k for kills with a 1.48(not amazing but its taken me i while of good playing to get it back above 1.00). I really only play hardcore td but i love ground war. My gamertag should be relatively obvious but for those who prolly are very observant my gamertag is WhiteSammy. I also play halo and halo wars.

Halo wars looks somewhat interesting. Is it any good?

The demo was interesting,but the only RTS ive ever liked was Star Craft. Which brings the subject......im very mad that Star Craft 2 has taken so long. But im also glad Blizzard has had so much time in perfecting it. it better be good.

@Jann: Starcraft 2 is taking wayyyyy too long but apparently they're supposed to release it some time soon. Since the beta is already out and all the videos I've seen of it so far have had a lot of units and the graphics are more than up-to-snuff it might be just around the corner (let's hope).

yeah i like halo wars but it has somewhat become predictable mostly due to the fact that when someone finds a strat that works well everyone else spams that strat. In halo wars im 2 stars(commander i think) and ive become fairly decent at guessing people's strats due to certain tendencies. The next update should make it more enjoyable bc it will give you points when someone quits

It's hard to find a RTS that I can find myself enjoying...

The original Age of Empires isn't good enough? I still play that game to this day, although it is unbelievably fast on my computer.

I've been playing a lot of Fallout 3 and Fable II (why roman numerals for one and not the other? the world may never know) recently, fallout because of the new DLCs and Fable II because Reaver has got to be the best video game character ever.

Age of Empires III is the best; They need to fastforward to the golden age of empires the 1850s-1900s period

Anyone on here play RON? I play the expansion more often than the original, but I stayed away from Rise of Legends because I heard it was too much like Age of Mythology, and I hated that shit.

I loved it; used to own it awhile back, then I got rid of it. What's your fav nation? Mine was always either Germany or Britain

I live and die by Germany. The Americans were so stacked they weren't even fun to play, but the chinese were fun too. The best is to play Barbarians at the Gates as the Russians. YAY ATTRITION DAMAGE!!!

I hated that! Supply trains ugh...campaigns was the best mode, my favorite was just World campagin

Rise of legends was alright - different from age of mythology, but then again, i liked both :) It used a different system.

Rise of nations was good too - but didn't have much of a chance to play it.
