Live Game Go Fast
When are we up to unpausing? I'm curious to see the way it turns out.

Last albumn you listened to
Title is pretty self explanatory. Musical taste can say a lot about someone.

And now that that's done just switched to Remain in Light by the Talking Heads, very glad they popped up on random after the last album so I could decide to switch to this next.

One album is not a good identifier of someone's taste.
Last album: 13ghosts - The Strangest Colored Lights
It's quite good, I recommend it. Rock but with folk/alternative sound as well. Genre labels do not do them justice.
@wee_alex: I love that album.

Some Korean Court music (don't know anything else about it, as I can't read Korean)

Thats not fair because my taste ranges so far.

Afroman - Drunk n' High

but before that was Mahler's symphonies.... so yeah
Last 3 from my cars auto-changer:
Bad For Good - Jim Steinman
Tanz Der Vampire - Jim Steinman.
The Monster is Loose - Meat Loaf.

Now you might think you know a lot about me from that sample. That turns out not to be the case. The other 3 CDs in my car's auto-changer are:

The Whole Story - Kate Bush
Anthem - Toyah
Groove Coverage Greatest Hits - Groove Coverage.

Side note. My car got broken into a few years ago. Bastards took the CDs, except for Kate Bush.

One album is not really enough especiall now that we live in the age of 120 GB Ipods.
Recent high rotation albums for me:
Album - Artist
Cease to begin - Band of Horses
Saturdays = Youth - M83
Carnavas - Sliversun Pickups
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix - Phoenix

Mozart's Mass Requiem, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Barber's Adagio for Strings, Bernstein's West Side Story Suite, and Copland's Appalachian Spring along with some Keiko Matsui, Sting, Joe Cocker, Peter Gabriel, and Robert Palmer were tonights primary listening wuring the poker sit and gos at IHM's festival.

@ Chrispminis...

This made me chuckle:

"Blackfield - Blackfield

Check it out if you like art rock or prog rock in the style of Porcupine Tree or Pink Floyd."

A bit like saying that a book was written in the style of J K Rowling or W Shakespeare...

For what it's worth, I have listened to some Elton John (collection) and am now listening to Jethro Tull since going on line. I am likely to listen to some Pink Floyd next now that you have put the idea in my head.
Chrispminis (916 D)
11 Jul 09 UTC
Haha, flashman, I take it you don't think much of Porcupine Tree? I think the problem is that too many people compare them to Pink Floyd. I think they're decent in their own right.

"Saturdays = Youth - M83"

Thanks spyman, I'm now listening to it. =)

Excellent Chrispminis. They're a good band if you like music of the shoegazing variety - reminiscent of Cocteau Twins (excellent 80s band if you don't know them).
Chrispminis (916 D)
11 Jul 09 UTC
Yeah, I find shoegazing + weed + this (http://darkpsychedelic.ru/FV_13.html) is a really nice combination. I've got all of M83's album, but your list reminded me. Never heard of Cocteau Twins though, I'll check 'em out.

It wasn't that I don't like them but one can hardly claim that they authored the same style as a group that has 40+ years under its belt.

Yesterday I had to drive a while for work, and I listened to Picturesque by the Decembrists, #1 by Fischerspooner, Led Zeppelin II, and Helene Grimaud playing Rachmaninov's second piano concerto. A pretty random selection, even for me.

Unpause a game please
http://www.phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=11990

Austria was banned for some reason, and the game went into pause. Austria has since been taken over, which is fine - but England hasn't turned up since friday (and thus hasn't voted). We have 36 hour phases, so if a mod could unpause, they will still have an entire 36 hours more from that point to join in again.

Unpause request
http://phpdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=12053
Could someone please unpause this game? It was first paused due to a multi-accounter. And while the multi-accounter's place has since been replaced, Italy has not logged in since Thursday.
