Facebook Dilemma
I recently started using Facebook just to reach people I can't contact any other way.
It just occurred to me that it makes sense to friend pretty much every suggested person, even random people who added me for unknown reasons, from a PR point of view. I don't know what that does to my privacy if I do start to use it though..
Thoughts?

Why did everyone use Mossack Fonseca? I mean, I'm sure some people could have easily used other firms for this. And we've yet to see names of any of the Americans and Canadians involved. I wouldn't be surprised to see the names of Trump or Clinton (both Bill and Hillary) thrown out. That's probably what it would take to get more real coverage of this in the states.
And I bet if not many Labour Party individuals get names Corbyn or someone could bring this up during PMQ's this week.

'Why did everyone use Mossack Fonseca?'

because this is just data from them. or, to put it more dramatically, the tip of the iceberg.

I'm biting my nails in anticipation to read more names and how far they went.

Messi (again) and like 10 mexican magnates

among them: the owner of one of the free-tv companies, the bussiness agent of the only other free-tv company, and the guy that 'donated' a *big* house to the very president (the worst gov. corruption scandal that I can remember).

Also

-Putin and a russian sexual slavery network.
-A congolian company that evaded the equivalent of a big fraction of Congo GDP
-Macri (the new splendid extreme-right argentinian president)
-Platini and the FIFA secretary (that somehow manages to survive the recent FIFA corruption scandal).

etc.

Iceland and Ukraine governments

and a lot of narco, of course.

correction: the FIFA secretary that is involved is Jerome Valcke, who actually burned, with Blatter and Platini in the past months.

There's also involved the Pemex-Oceanographia scandal (the second worst mexican gov. corruption scandal I can remember)

beaty->beauty

Also, I kind of called that an associate of Pena Nieto would be on there. It's a little too obvious. A little surprised there weren't more PRI people on there though since it goes all the way back to 1977.

"A little surprised there weren't more PRI people on there"

1. there can still be more names :)
2. they were not soooo gross, so for instace they rejected the priist Hank Gonzalez family, cos they were *too discredited*... you imagine that

@ TrPrado: "we've yet to see names of any of the Americans and Canadians involved"

Ah, well, that's interesting, isn't it? The people responsible for the leak are not independent and may prefer to protect some of the wealthy Americans who might also be involved. Read this:

It's almost like global capitalism is pernicious and unfixable and inherently causes hugely unjust corruption and waste. Weird!

To Putin33:

It's almost like Vladimir Putin is just a corrupt right wing leader like David Cameron or Xi Jinping and not a real leftist, like, at all. Weird!

The CBC reported that 25 individuals they saw were Canadian, despite none being named in these 149 initial documents. I'm sure in the remaining 11.5 million documents there will be at least one American. We'll see in about a month. If there aren't, then it would just mean Americans don't use Mossack Fonseca, which I doubt.

Hi all, I hope this is the right space for such a silly question. Forgive me, please, if I'm wrong.

Thanks a lot.

I know that a lot has changed since Richard Sharp died in the game and that his book is no longer current, (like how Lepantos always get Italy killed now and how France always loses in a war in the Mediterranean, at least in the games I have seen) would anyone mind telling me what is good and not so good now?

Why Does Morality Matter?
Pretty much what the title says. We often consider the "right thing to do" when making a decision, but why do moral arguments matter? Is it due to societal structures, personal interest, definitive moral good? I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on this.

Why can't I select nowhere to retreat, or disband a unit when I want?
The rules say I can elect to disband instead of retreating, but there seems no way to sav his choice in the GUI. So when I am faced with disbanding as a result of having nowhere to retreat to, I seem to have no choice but to let the clock run down, which slows down the whole game for me and all the other players.
