I actually like the PVED nomenclature a lot. It describes the point system precisely and succinctly: winners gain eighteen thirty-fourths (nine seventeens) of the pot, which is the proportion of the total SC's on the board required to win. The term simultaneously also describes the the division of the remainder of the pot between survivors as well as how the pot would be divided in the event of a draw.
I had earlier suggested Winner Takes Half, but noticed that with the renaming of WTA and the introduction of SoS, this might not be as clear as hoped. I since have also noticed that 'half' is inaccurate, as 18 diveded by thirty-four does not make 50%. The word 'proportional' retains the accuracy which 'half' lacks, while also describing how the reminder of the pot is divided amongst survivors.
Analogous counterparts for what was WTA could be WTAED, TVED, AVED, EVED, FVED, CVED or WVED (TV = total victory; AV = absolute victory; EV = exclusive victory; FV = full victory; CV = complete victory; WV = whole victory). WTAED is a bit long. TV, AV, FV and CV might be confused with military terms rather than descriptions of the pot system. EV sounds inaccurate, since of course victories are always exclusive. WV cannot easily be confused with military terminology and the word 'whole' seems to unambiguously refer to points in the pot.
PVED and WVED also have the advantage of starting with the same letter as the PPSC and WTA which they replace, lessening confusion.
