Awesome! Fuck the haters! He is the hardest working mod/admin here and had a thankless job trying to enforce a line that people constantly tried to cross (myself included). He didn't make the line, he just did his best to enforce it. Good job Jmo, know that you'll be missed by many of the less vocal crowd!

Convoy Cut Support
If I convoy a unit to a province and support such that it dislodges the fleet in that territory, I get it. That's straight forward. However at the same time, the piece that would be dislodged by a successful convoy is supporting another fleet to attack the unit convoying my unit and if there was no convoy my "convoying" fleet would be dislodged. Does the convoy succeed?

No, I wouldn't. But it's such a silly question to begin with. George H.W. Bush has a better shot at winning his second term in 2016 than Ted Nugent his first.

I would gladly follow him in to the mountains and slay copious amounts of wild beast with him and savor the fresh flesh of our kill. I might even find a cave and with the blood of my kill draw pictures of the fantasy whereupon we hunted a Putin....

...but I assure you, I would never vote that man in to any office.

The attempted assassination of Giffords and the actual assassination of George Tiller were preceded by hate speech like this. As was the Rwandan genocide.

I know the conservative policy is to wait until disaster happens, and then pretend we can't do anything about it afterwards anyway, like they do with all violence.

It's incitement to political violence. Your trivialization of such speech because he's on your side is what is absurd.

"It's incitement to political violence."

Is is a horrible thing to say? Yes. Should he be locked up? No. For one, he probably would be if this really crossed the line. The government, rightly, don't play no games when it comes to our leaders' security.

I'm not defending Nugent's speech. I'm even, for whatever it's worth, condemning it. That sort of talk has no place in public discourse, and by saying things like that he's surrendered any chance to ever be taken seriously on political issues. But it isn't something to throw him or any one else in prison over.

Also, I don't know about you, but I've always heard "suck on a pistol" or the like used as an insult encouraging another to commit suicide. It goes without saying that that's not in any way under any circumstances a legitimate thing to say about any president. Is it inciting political violence, though? I'd have to think not, since I can only imagine the Secret Service and the entire security apparatus errs on the side of caution and is, rightly, more aggressive in going after possible threats than is strictly necessary. The fact that Nugent isn't in prison is a pretty good indication that he shouldn't be.
Putin33 (111 D)
10 Nov 13 UTC
He was pointing his machine guns and saying suck on this. An invitation to suicide? Whatever. If that's the spin you want to go with, fine.

And he has been investigated by the secret service. But if they aren't willing to shut down the countless media outlets that incite violence against liberal politicians on a daily basis (some of which came to fruition), they aren't going to shut down this Republican surrogate.

I should hope he was investigated. Since he's still free, that means nothing came of it, meaning he shouldn't be in prison. He's still an ass. His words are still wholly inappropriate. He just shouldn't be in prison.

"An invitation to suicide? Whatever. If that's the spin you want to go with, fine."

I'm not spinning it. That's the only way I've ever heard the phrase used. It's still an awful and unacceptable thing to say and will make me continue to not buy or listen to Ted Nugent music.

@putin33 Ted Nugent is a clown and what he's really inciting is for people to give him something real to complain about. You did as much as you could. It'll be a sad day that they start actually putting people in prison for trash talk.
