I need help with a research paper!
It's due tomorrow night and I have to do a 12-15 page paper on how the internet of things and the third industrial revolution will affect society and more importantly the work force and employment.

I'm up to around 10 pages and I have no idea what to write for the last 2.
And no, increasing the font size of each period isn't allowed.

Messed up, two 13 year olds tired as adults
m.huffpost.com/us/entry/7979942?cps=gravity_5540_1138476008340655834

So teenagers brains are different from adult brains; that is a reason why we don't let them drink or drive... The frontal lobe which controls will-power and executive function ( ie decision making ) continues developing until about 25.

Risk taking
http://youtu.be/vBX-KulgJ1o
Great video, but the first thing i think of is relationships, (and given that i was recently dumped, this is no surprise) Naturally you could also apply this to diplomacy; but the probabilities get a little messed up, and in Dip not taking a bet means taking a different course, which may also be risky.

Pacific Northwest FTF
I've only ever played FTF with people who don't really care about the game and want to be done after a year, and I always feel a twinge of jealousy when I sew those people having fun playing in real life on that crappy coast across the country. This is just a post to see who might be interested in getting something set up on this side of the country. I'm in the Seattle area.

Conundrum
So the people who make the schedules at my school are kinda dumb. I signed up for both AP Micro/Macroeconomics and AP European History. Only one class of each is being offered. And they happen to be the same hour. So I need to drop one and pick up some other course. I really don't know, so what (preferably AP) course would you suggest for me to take instead of AP Micro/Macroeconomics (because there's no chance I'll drop Euro)?

Pffft anarcho-capitalists are just neoliberals who are a little edgier.

But I agree, don't not study economics. Studying it can expose it by looking at what economics *doesn't* talk about. A few Econ books have a few paragraphs on "non-economic value" - pay close attention to those passages, as they inform the rest of the book.

But the best way to dismantle capitalism is certainly not more capitalism. You could try to become the richest man in the world by an order of magnitude and just buy it out of existence, but I might ask what that would profit you if you lose your own soul in the process.

Did you stop reading my post after I said "anarcho-capitalist?"
Thucydides (869 D (B))

Yes

lol jk, I read it, but so what? Communism is basically just state capitalism. It's still obsessed with economics and monetary concerns.

youll see what i mean if you take the class
"Yeah, they only give me college credit and help me go through college faster so that it costs less. Worthless. I'll just take Econ in college. I have very personal reasons for preferring Euro."

I don't think I called them worthless. And if you're going to be so snide and show such disdain to people answering your question, all the while insisting on personal reasons for your answer to your question, why open the floor to discussing it at all?
TrPrado (456 D Mod)
09 Aug 15 UTC
Because Euro vs Econ wasn't open for discussion. I said as much in OP.

Lol when I took it at least AP Environmental Science was a joke- the answer to every problem is to do whatever the problem is less and to raise awareness. There's your 5.

In the next edition of Why My School is Incredibly Dumb:
I have my schedule now. They moved Euro back an hour without any sort of warning, so this issue seems for naught almost. If only they had, you know, forethought. Well, the issue now is that they put me into Environmental Science now instead of getting me back into Micro/Macro. When that was what was originally on my schedule, and I've heard nothing about it being moved from that as the only hour, shouldn't it make sense that now that the issue was resolved in a way that I could take both that I should have that on my schedule? Sigh. Still no forethought.

This part should be easier to fix, yeah. But it is still incredibly annoying.

Not "Who am I?", but WHERE am I?
Have some time to kill. Ask yes/no questions to guess WHERE I am. If you guess right you go next. If you guess wrong you're out for the rest of the round.
