Couldn't find an answer anywhere...
How do I plot the situation? Is it done automatically or do I need a mapper app or something like that?

Is Russia that bad of a country?
So they're in Syria. So they took Crimea. So they attacked Georgia.
Is that bad enough to start a new cold war over?

How to stop being garbage?
I've basically noticed that whether or not I get 2v1'd in 1901 or '02 basically comes down to a crapshoot. I find it's very difficult to get conversations and discussion rolling, especially in lower-bet games. Anyone got tips?

Funny business or just my usual paranoia?
I've noticed a trend in gunboat games....when entering orders -- especially during '01 -- a given great power will click SAVE instead of READY. More often than not, an adjacent great power will do the same. Amazingly, these powers don't move on each other. While it may be frowned upon, is this a way of signalling a wish for non-aggression/cooperation? ...and if it's not...why do it?

...and yes the walls talk to me...sometimes in harsh tones.

Communication Block and Mute Player Inquiry.
Hey I am wondering if muting a player in a game can carry over into actual private messages and forum post messages? I received a private message for actual in game conversations where I am not even a player in the game.

Can people be muted/have blocked communications out of actual diplomacy games? Does anyone know if this is possible?

"The sun has risen and fallen, as will it for a long time. The presidential elections are pretty much over.

Despite what many of you believe, Trump has won the presidency fair and square. Whether or not you agree with the electoral college, it was the official process for electing a president, and trump (pretty overwhelmingly) beat Hillary where it mattered. You have to get over that.

Also despite what many of you believe, this is not the end of the world. We've come out of controversies like this in the past, the 2000 election being one of several instances. Despite his rhetoric, you have to respect the fact that many people trust this man to be our president, so we have to give him a chance.

We are all americans, and for that reason, we shouldn't be throwing temper tantrums that our candidate lost the election because whoever the president will be, they will *have* to have the people's best interest in mind, and we can't say for sure whether he'll do that until we give him a chance.

Someone here quoted Bernie Sanders earlier when he said this:
"To the degree that Mr. Trump is serious about pursuing policies that improve the lives of working families in this country, I and other progressives are prepared to work with him.To the degree that he pursues racist, sexist, xenophobic and anti-environment policies, we will vigorously oppose him."

Let's have this mindset going into January. Because Trump *will* be president and will be representing *all* of us, we have to help and ensure his success as a president, not stand idly, hoping that he makes a mistake so that we can ridicule him.

Addressing the Trump supporters, congratulations. Trump ran a hard fought campaign and won. Now you too, need to move on. Many of you see yourselves as fundamentally different from Clinton supporters, and you're wrong. We're all americans and we want what's best for everyone here. So telling people that voted Clinton to leave the US is just as problematic as Clinton supporters saying they will. It's obviously not serious but it does nothing to unite the people under the new president-elect. You, too, have to realize that Trump is no longer *your* candidate and is now *our* future president. Ostracizing those that didn't vote for him is counterproductive.

Despite having voted for Hillary, I accept Trump as the future president, and I'm rooting for him to do well, because his success is our success. Just my thoughts.

A concerned, but proud American,
Yoyo"

Another one from one of the greates threads ever:

You know, I was just strolling around the neighborhood, but I bet the dogs think I was trolling. That's why they bark incessantly at me. Some dogs are born just to bark, and man, when they got into a pack, they bark like there is no tomorrow. I used to had some enjoyment in kicking the fence and provoke them barking even harder. I made funny face, sticking my tongue out, so on and so on....

@ Yoyoyoyoyoyozo, .." we are all Americans... " ???
Excuse me being pedantic, but y'all are Americans, and quite a few of us are not.
Good old MeepMeep, there was a character, can't say that modesty was one of his strong points, but for grandiose fantasy & self delusion there have been few rivals to MeepMeep. I named a particularly stupid and stubborn musk lorikeet that was a wildlife rescue when it was a fledgling, and is now a pet, "Naughty MeepMeep" after our WebDiplomacy MeepMeep.
Now we have Heartbroken brainbomb sort of filling that space that MeepMeep used to occupy and a damn good job he does.

ACA Premium Reimbursement
Today I was refunded a decent amount of last year's insurance premium through my company because our insurer didn't spend enough of their income from premiums on claims. What is going on here that some people are seeing their premiums double while some insurers literally don't have enough claims. Is it just happenstance that this provider only has healthy people? A civil, informed discussion would be appreciated, if at all possible.
