As a Syracuse fan as well (being from upstate NY there really is no other option), moving to the ACC is bullshit. Then again, having to play San Diego State and Navy is bullshit too. I'm looking forward to kicking the shit out of Duke and NC and I'm glad that Pitt and Louisville made the switch, but the Big East deciding to boost its football credentials was a *huge* mistake. The Big East has never really been a football conference, basketball was always its strongest sport. Hell, its always gotten seven, eight, or nine teams into the NCAA Tournament every year. Furthermore, the Big East tournament was always fantastic. Better than the NCAA, in most cases. Playing at MSG in NYC is huge for the conference, and having Syracuse, Pitt, and Louisville play the conference tournament in Greensboro fucking North Carolina is a travesty. The ACC arguably has five of the ten best college basketball programs in the country (Cuse, Pitt, Louisville, Duke, UNC) as well as other historically strong programs like NC State and Notre Dame. It makes for some great matchups, but as a Cuse fan, the biggest games each year were UConn and Georgetown, and I'd rather watch those games a hundred times before I watch Syracuse play UNC or Duke.
