For one, South Carolina is pretty damn good too. 10-2 and then just rocked the ACC's #2 team even though they're #6 in the conference.
For two, I can't help you if you think adding a redshirt freshman two weeks removed from winning the Heisman *and* arguably the best new coach on the block in college football didn't make A&M tremendously better than they were in 2011. On paper there's no reason to think 2012 A&M wouldn't be undefeated if they were in the Big 12. Obviously in reality they could fuck up and lose a game, etc. but it would come down to factors you'd normally isolate out in a prediction (injuries, uncharacteristically bad execution across multiple games). In any case, A&M 2012 is FAR better than A&M 2011.
As for LSU or Florida running through the Pac-12... dunno. I think they could if they were in the Pac-12 South, since they can handle Oregon or Stanford individually and would only have that one game to deal with in the championship. I wouldn't bet on it happening in the Pac-12 North. But LSU annihilated Washington earlier this year, so I'd certainly think they and Florida are both on the same level as Oregon or Stanford and would have as much trouble running through the Pac-12 as Oregon or Stanford.
Again, I'll definitely buy that the SEC is overrated, Bob's article linked earlier actually does a good job of demonstrating why. But the notion that the SEC is "pure shit" outside of the top third of it, or that its success is fraudulent, is bullshit. There's a case to be made that the SEC is overrated, not that it's bad. You guys are letting your anti-SEC inclinations blind you a bit.
