National Socialism is a remarkably perceptive name. The rhetoric and actions of the nazis are clearly Imperialistic and far left-wing.

If there were no Nazis, who would we kill in all the myriad of repetitive WW2 games? No CoD or MoH (well, I don't really like the latter)! Unless Operation Unthinkable actually happened, or Western involvement in the Russian Civil War escalated.
This guy, Niall Ferguson, actually said it would be better if Britain stayed out of WW1, and let Germany win, because the increasing in strength German fleet presented NO threat to the Royal Fleet.

The new MoH game is going to blow BC2 and CoD out of the water. The problem with BC2 and CoD is that they're remarkably unrealistic. Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 both have unrealistic storylines. World at War, aside from minor cosmetic errors with dates and unit titles, is quite realistic. BC2? "Scalar" weapons? (Modern non-communist) Russia conquering the world? Are you kidding? EA and DICE put no effort into BC2 Singleplayer.

That's what sets MoH apart. Every game, MoH consistently comes out with a realistic, (usually) historically accurate war simulator. The reason CoD and BC pulled ahead is because they came out with gory games with kickass multiplayer modes. MoH is going to have the best of both. A realistic storyline with kickass multiplayer and plenty of gore.

Eh, it's a game, so the story isn't my main concern, though if it does have a story, it mustn't contradict itself. I haven't played BC 2, so I can't comment on that.

It's terrible. Imagine a game in which the Russian Federation conquers the world by using a "scalar" weapon invented by Japan during WWII. As for Call of Duty, I think it's a slight insult to our servicemen and women to produce a game with a ludacris storyline and market it as a realistic game. Some of the levels are realistic, like S.S.D.D and Team Player, but after that, it just goes downhill in terms of realism.

MoH is simply the best WWII series. But I will admit a love for Battleground Europe for a WWII MMORPG.

I used to be a big fan of Medal of Honor, but most people I knew who used it moved on to Battlefield and then Battlefield 2. Now I haven't played a FPS for ages.

MoH is great for the realistic story lines and environment. You feel like you are in the character's shoes and it is WWII. This is do to great writing, major research providing historical accuracy, and a Michael Giacchino score (composer of Lost and The Incredibles).

Battleground is a great MMOFPS will realistic weapon characteristics, including the flight characteristics of the planes, but no story. It's as if you were jumping into an alternate universe where it was WWII and it was playing out with history yet to be written.

There is an important point here. Why is it not trollish to start a thread saying you hate a political ideology, but is trollish to say that you hate a different one within that thread?

Answer: because you agree with the person who started the thread, but disagree with me. In short, you are just labeling opinions you don't like as trollish, and letting off trollish behaviour from those who you agree with. Shame!
