I've probably watched the show start to finish about four or five times. It never gets old. Far and beyond the best show I've ever seen.

In regards to Serenity, you have to consider the budget with which it got made. It was done on incredibly low budget, and barely got made at all. But I'll agree, the show is much better.

Unfortunately, FOX has the programming foresight of a lobotomized starfish, and canceled it. It joins the ranks of many other great shows (Arrested Development, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Family Guy, Dollhouse, need I go on?) that have spawned websites about how stupid FOX's programming decisions are. And on most of those websites, Firefly is cited as their prime example.

You aught to check out Dollhouse. Not as epic as Firefly, (Is that even possible?) but still good. It was also produced by Joss Whedon.

I'll definitely have to look into it. And yeah Fox does seem to be kind of stupid that way....I'm kind of shocked they haven't cancelled The Simpsons or some other show that people actually go to their channel to watch.

And yeah, it wasn't that I thought it was bad per-se, just that it was a tough transition from the show, where they had hours and hours to develop characters, to the movie, where they only had something like 2 hours to develop characters, form a plot, and reach a climax. haha

I *really* wanted to see River kick some Alliance ass though. Would have added to the body count of all the Reavers she had just taken out nicely.

I wanted to change my WebDip user name to 'Browncoat', but wasn't allowed to 'cause Browncoat has vowels in it.

'Shepard' would have been a good user name as well, you could only guess at Shepard's background, but you knew there was some kickass in it somewere and you didn't really want to inquire too closely.

I REALLY wanted a story arc about Book.

Yeah, the show was really positioned incredibly well for extensive growth in future seasons, it's so terrible that they cut it.

-The chances of seeing actors from other sifi shows is directly proportional to the length of time the new show airs. (and inversely proportional to available sifi work available at the time?) :)

I like Adam Baldwin on Chuck though. He took Jane and made Casey even more of a hardass.

Jane makes Casey look like a pansy. Jane took a harpoon through the leg and was dragging a Reaver spaceship from it! Could Casey do that?

definitely not. haha Jayne is basically freaking crazy. During that whole scene I was like "oh my god does he really have a harpoon stuck in his leg?" haha.
