I have two to start with I DARE you to top:

-Sports: Bill Buckner. One strike away from winning it all, and "a little grounder up along first- BEHIND THE BAG! IT GEETS THROUGH BUCKNER! HERE COMES KNIGHT, AND THE METS WIN IT!!!"

(Although, as I'm a Mets fan- LUCKIEST ever for us!) ;)

Pete Best... when you get kicked out of the BEATLES just before it all starts, AND they're rich as god, immortal, defining and transcending music and a generation and... well, they become the Beatles, AND you're replacement (Ringo!) is beloved...

Poor guy... though, again, I like the winner, Ringo's my favorite, so... ;)

I'm assuming it only counts if it wasn't their fault?

G. W. Bush was arguably very unlucky, though he could have come out better than he did lol.

Come to think of it the other Bush was unlucky as well, and so is Obama, for the same reasons. People didn't re-elect Bush 41 due to an economy problem he had fixed, and people dislike Obama due to an economy that's not his fault.

Anyway Manuel Zelaya's plans sort of backfired lol... pretty unlucky.

And Herman van Rompuy hasn't had the best luck so far. More like he hasn't had the best support base.... ahem.

Idea for mod communication
I know that, for the World Cup, we are having all kinds of trouble getting people to respond to their emails and PMs, causing all kinds of waiting. And I know that the mods have to try to get with people here and there about different things.
