I think the extra rules about russia and france make things too complicated.

France: Most likily
Russia: No this represents the fact that Russia and did transfer harden Siberian troops to fight off Germany

I agree with the russia rule, I suppose. But it still complicates things unnecessarily. Why not just make it a neutral SC? Slightly less realistic politically, but it makes sense in that it better serves its purpose.

especially considering some of the rules only occur if some historical events occur. Previously dip was a simple open game, not railroaded to any kind of historical ending. (like the game axis & allies, which is unfair and unbalanced)

Dip on the other hand is militarily unbalanced but being an obvious threat does make you a big target, as any german who has gained 3 builds in 1901 can tell you.

A four SC germany would make dip a different game, just as in the standard game russia fights on two fronts from the begining, germany fighting on the western front and eastern front would make for an interesting variation...

I like the idea of giving Russia Siberia as an SC, and also making Warsaw a neutral center.

I was thinking of making it into like, two neutrals, representing the way germany and russia split the nation.

also poland being a rather weak nation waiting for the USSR and 3rd rich to come and Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact all over your land.

That said i think it is probably an interesting country to play in diplomacy; accepting the expectation of early destruction.

a. Poland put up a good fight (better than France in my opinion)
b. The alliance could of not been made giving Poland a chance in the world
c. Germany might find Poland a useful buffer

Poland must find an ally in Russia or Germany if not prepare for death. Poland can offer DP in support of Germany's Western thrust with German aid grabbing Lav and Slo is in reach. Russia can offer military aid againist Germany, possibly Lav too.

Perhaps giving Poland a third SC would do the trick

Wait, I never said anything about Poland being a playable nation. This is starting to remind me of the "overcrowded" variant that i so despise.

Only? Cut that number down to 7 or less, and you'd have something worthwhile.

Poland and spain being added, with austro-hungary replaced by Yugoslavia and several african territories for the colonial powers...

Taking Spain out will only make France stronger which I don't want
Taking out Poland will only make USSR and Germany even more powerful
Taking out Yugo will make the Balkans a completely barren area

I like the idea of a map with extra territories, but not extra players. If you could work on making one like that, you'd have my interest.

make turkey a minor power, and you give russia, yugoslavia, italy and UK somewhere bigger to fight over, (and spend their dip point to get territories, especially as the UK only has one unit down here...)

germany with 5 SC really makes it a monster, with slovenia and hungary to expand into while still having the low countries to play with...

That really makes france weak, considering how strong germany is, and it still has an enemy to contend with to the west.

Why give Russia Yugo, Russia is a beast too
Perhaps giving Italy a fleet instead of another army will do the trick
How about making Cze neutral thus recreating the Germany occuption of Cze and have the correct timeline?

I meant turkey being a minor power gives somewhere for yugoslavia, russia, italy and the uk somewhere to fight. Whoever wins that area will have gained a considerable increase in power.

Also, on a basic level, having the correct timeline is not something i would value.
