I tend to do better in anon games- I don't know why.

Dargoryel- pick a personality before the game. And play the personality. What I'll do is pick:
-Noob (act like I don't know what I'm doing)
-Expert (act like I know everything about the game)

Then pick a personality:
-Asshole (be an asshole)
-why can't we be friends (super nice and agreeable)
-chilled out (nothing seems to bother you, every mistake is just a new opportunity)
-paranoid (always talk about the possibility of being stabbed or other conspiracies)
-joker (just make tons of corny jokes all the time)

Finally pick a manner of speaking.
For this just pick like 3 things you will make sure you do in every message. I.e ellipses, capitalize all territory names, use emojis.

Change up these 3 on a game to game basis. No one can even get a read on who you are. As an example I just soloed against hauta as turkey. Hauta was convinced I was a noob. I did that on purpose.

Example: you can be an asshole noob who uses emojis and starts every message with sup and ends each message with an exclamation point. At first this seems strange but consider that strong players will be more inclined to work with you because you are less of a threat than another experienced player. You'll seem weaker. The asshole part establishes your personality assholes like working with assholes, so by being one you guarantee atleast one ally.

when I play anon, I just assume that everyone is too self-absorbed to notice who I might be, let alone analyze my graham'r.

Notice: hauta played amazing and I benefitted from a lax italy. Just wanted to use the example since it's fresh in my mind and actually is an example of changing your press working to an advantage.

I don't really support this kind of personal attacking, but can we brainstorm ideas to stop brad from spamming about how we're all whack in every thread?

@DO - brainstorming ideas? give Brad some other word choices? suggest other activities for Brad to do in his 'retirement' other than diplomacy

I think I'm going to make it my mission to figure out CommanderByron's "tell" in anonymous games despite all his switch ups - sounds like a serious challenge.

I play anon because there enough idiots like Brad who won't talk to some people and anon cuts way down on the meta gaming

I prefer Anon because then I play the game rather than the reputation.

Not that I've played enough here to have burnt any bridges with anyone but to mitigate the risk of my judgement being swayed by stuff I might read on here!

@CT , CAPT Brad can't read that well so he hates anyone who's name begins with Commander. It's the only part of my name he can pronounce.

@Bladerunners - I just started a new anon game where CommanderByron is supposed to be one of the players, so I'll have to try that while fishing to see if I could pick him out of the crowd. Funny thing is CB will know who I am pretty quickly for all the snooping I'll be doing, which may put him further on his guard with me, so extra challenging!

Ah - the fun of a game within a game. Wonder if I get to declare victory when I am "Defeated", yet have figured out who CB is among the other 6 players.

slypups - we need to get into a game again sometime although maybe we are in one right now -- what's your tell again?
