Bread
More inside...
Jamiet99uk (848 D)

Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour and water, usually by baking. Throughout recorded history it has been popular around the world and is one of the oldest artificial foods, having been of importance since the dawn of agriculture.

There are many combinations and proportions of types of flour and other ingredients, and also of different traditional recipes and modes of preparation of bread. As a result, there are wide varieties of types, shapes, sizes, and textures of breads in various regions. Bread may be leavened by many different processes ranging from the use of naturally occurring microbes (for example in sourdough recipes) to high-pressure artificial aeration methods during preparation or baking. However, some products are left unleavened, either for preference, or for traditional or religious reasons. Many non-cereal ingredients may be included, ranging from fruits and nuts to various fats. Commercial bread in particular, commonly contains additives, some of them non-nutritional, to improve flavor, texture, color, shelf life, or ease of manufacturing.

Depending on local custom and convenience, bread may be served in various forms at any meal of the day. It also is eaten as a snack, or used as an ingredient in other culinary preparations, such as fried items coated in crumbs to prevent sticking, or the bland main component of a bread pudding, or stuffings designed to fill cavities or retain juices that otherwise might drip away.

Partly because of its importance as a basic foodstuff, bread has a social and emotional significance beyond its importance in nutrition; it plays essential roles in religious rituals and secular culture. Its prominence in daily life is reflected in language, where it appears in proverbs, colloquial expressions ("He stole the bread from my mouth"), in prayer ("Give us this day our daily bread") and even in the etymology of words, such as "companion" and "company" (literally those who eat/share bread with you).

He's attempting to mimic brainbomb for comedic effect.

I'm amused. But I warn Jamie that if you create threads on the forum that mimic other threads, the forum police may come out in force, mostly people that "don't get it".

Yes, despite this being a very intelligent site, British humour often does go over heads. It can be very dry.

what pitiful little brains we have over here. or perhaps i just missed the kudzu thread. i bow to your superior culture.
in seriousness, I have found the humor differences interesting over the years. My friends have commented that I have an extremely dry sense of humor, for an American i guess. I actually consider British humor to be "post-colonial" and humor stateside to be "mid-colonial." meaning we still take ourselves seriously since we are trying to dominate the planet. what do you think? was British humor the same 300 years ago?

I am a big supporter of bread in general, though I dislike how many companies are claiming the label for products which bear scant resemblance to the real thing, or even to food in general. Yes, bread is ubiquitous, but the meaning of the word has become so watered down that it's essentially meaningless anymore.

Bread was first introduced to America by the Carter Administration. Bread is intended for Mature audiences only. Bread contains strong adult language and some nudity. Viewer discretion is advised.

Bread is being unfairly demonized by nincompoops who think it is some kind of evil witchcraft.

All along the highways in the American South bread is overtaking forests, growing rapidly, and choking sunlight out 9f the canopy. Bread does not simply go away with a controlled burn either. Heat in fact actually just makes this stuff rise and turn golden brown.
Damn you Jimmy Carter.

I make my own bread, my sourdough is 5 years old now and named Herman. I feed it various things but it seem to like honey mostly. If you want some of it i can send, if oversees you work out the paperwork.

I am well aware why this thread was created, trip, but it is just as valid as most of the threads in this forum.

I tried doing sourdough for a while, but I just don't eat enough sourdough to be able to get and keep a good culture going. I mostly stick to simple wheat these days.

Balon Greyjoy
So I find it interesting that based on the photos for Season 6 the show appears poised to go forward with the Ironborn Plot. I feel like they sort of "missed the boat" (ahah) on this. Balon should have died way back in Season 3. Now ironically enough by pacing it out the way they have you could argue Balon won the war of the five kings. (Hes the only one still alive among them!!)

How do you pick your allies?
Do you go into a game with a preconceived idea of who you want to ally with? Do you choose based on the country, the press, or the personalities? Do you choose your ally based on your target's press, or your ally's press? What goes in to your decision process?

Making a parametric description
Hi guys,
I want to make a parametric description as the basis for my logo, so it has to look pretty enough for that. Can I create the graph online or using some downloadable software? My graphic calculator doesn't really make it a pretty picture.
I just want to enter the parameters etc. and print the result.

Quick question from a beginner.
Is the outcome of this scenario that no one moves or wins a territory?
Unit in territory A supports unit in B to move to C (Player One)
Unit in territory D supports unit in C to move to B (Player Two)
Thanks in advance for any reply to clarify this.
