Dam it, the forum stripped part of it off.

The mod said "so and so wasn't doing such and such" and then order me to "stop being a prick". The mod later claimed he was joking. No smiley face in the original post or any other indicator he was being a prick himself.

I've replied to this in the thread, but it's probably better to branch it off.

I wasn't joking about asking you to stop being a prick. I said the comment you unreasonably flipped out over was an obvious joke.

None of my comments were in my capacity as a mod but as another forum member, which I failed to specify initially but have since clarified.

The only thing I did wrong was carry it *too* far with *too* many posts. Which is why when abge asked me in PM to stop, I did.

Judging by the fact that you're the only one who thinks you aren't being a prick right now, I can only assume the point you were trying to make is that you're a prick. If that was the point, congratulations on sincerely reestablishing what everyone already knows. If that was not the point, you should perhaps entertain not acting like a prick to make a point, because the takeaway everyone gets is "you're a prick," not... whatever your point was.

A) Mods need to think before responding or their comments may be taken seriously and in an official capacity - something you helped prove with your own stupid comment declared to be "as a member" after the fact.

B) Having everyone make the official list by adding their names to it is fraught with cross posting and muted user issues - something proven immediately by abge and TMoW so immediately the irony was simply delicious.

This is really simple so all members and mods pay attention. If a moderator is posting in an official capacity or warning you as such then they will do so by signing their post with some variation of their status in the moderator team. Zultar and Kestas are Co-Owners so they can do whatever they want.
