Double French Horn is one of the most beautiful instruments. Wish I could play it better.

I haven't since college and I was never very good. Trumpet and Horn.

I could never do trumpet or cornet. The mouthpiece was not only small, but too shallow. French horn worked because, despite the small diameter, it was a deep mouthpiece, more or less conical rather than cupped. So I could get plenty of lip in it and not be buzzing the back of the mouthpiece, giving me great range.

But Jazz trombone was really my specialty. I spent one summer down at UC's CCM in the first year of their SMI program playing lead trombone in the Jazz Band under Rick VanMatre. Composer, conductor, saxophonist. RVM was and is one talented artist.

I, too, played french horn back in the day. Always did like the trombones though.

Geez, that one hung around way to long before the JavaScript hid it. All I can say is I'd like to see mapleturd go to Parris Island. He'd wet his pants and be crying during the first night. If he made it through hell week without washing out, they'd actually turn him into a man, but I doubt he'd make it through the first 24 hours. Probably wanna go home to his mommy when they shaved his head and gave him a penicillin shot in the ass as well as the double set of shots in the arms (those fuckers hurt). But the real crying would start when he finally got to get some shut eye and 24 hours after arriving at the USMCRTD at about midnight.

On the occasions I check these forums I notice they've sunk further and further into a mire compared to when I first joined here over four years ago. I frequent another website which I previously both administrated and moderated where the forums are just as vitriolic as here, and can say that slowly but surely the game has suffered due to the general negativity thrown at new players there.

I used to come here for sanctuary when the Mafia forums were particularly draining, yet now I log on here and see it's just as bad. I am not a proponent of strict moderation of forums, because that usually causes more problems than it solves. But there are lines of common decency and people who cross them should have their wings clipped. Temporary (but increasing for each offence) silences eventually leading to permanent mutings seems like a reasonable solution.
