Can this community *really* not get an honor variant going and supported? For shame.

This variant is unworkable in anything where you have 12 hour or more turns becausde no one would ever CD if they just checked in at the same time every day. So it is a joke. And I debated about my breakign the rules, primarily doing it to get the game cancelled *per the rules*. It had gotten rather vitriolic in the global chat and I want to see the game done away with or drawn, so I took measures to make certain *something* happens.

Draugnar, you are a disgusting individual. If you wanted out that badly, you could have a) resigned, or b) found a suitable replacement and posted in global the reasoning. Instead, you decided to ruin the game for everyone.

I will not continue arguing this in the forum, as I think it is counterproductive to the point of *my* thread, which is to /actually get a game of pacifist variant going/.

Now, back to my latest question. Can this community *really* not get an honor variant going and supported? For shame.

I think you'll find I will be much less forgiving in Game 3.

Like I said when I sent out the invites, I invited more than seven players. You could have asked them to step in for you. You are like the child that doesn't want to swim, so you took a dump in the pool, keeping everybody else from swimming too.

No, Mack, it never made. I would be willing to try a 6hr game four after this third game is resolved. I am guessing that you would not behave like semck, Jamie, nor Draugnar, and that you would, oh I dunno know, actually follow the rules? Because I'd be down for letting you into a potential game four if that were the circumstance, unlike some players that I know.

Yes, but I would prefer to wait starting it until Monday. That will give us time to hash out the rules without explicit punishments and make sure that every party is in agreement. None of this "I decided to force the game to end" crap.

You all should. I wish you the best possibly outcome. I need to take a break from this variant in order to cool off. However, I'll be back (to this variant) in the future, with a new set of rules (that I will vet better first).
The failure of the agreed upon set of rules was that I was under the impression that everyone joining had thoroughly playing it through and had the fullest intentions of actually playing it, rather than deciding renege on their word and ruin the game for everyone else.

On behalf of the mod team, can I ask that you *please* make a new thread to discuss Game 4 and take time to clearly define sustainable rules and make sure everyone fully understands the implications of such a variant.

I'm in, so I'll be looking for the thread to ensure that I'm ready. As ready as you *can* get for a lot of inaction, anyway.

New rules:
#1 We're all pacifists so no moving units allowed, all players are to save/finalize holds.
#2 Should someone move a unit out of his sc, he is warned and has to move back, should this movement take a territory not originally controlled by him, he is to be eliminated via coordination from the other 6 players (or mod intervention)
#3 6 hour phases, this is to ensure that people have to check in multiple times per day.
#4 It will be full press, so that we can cordinate properly in eliminating cheaters.
#5 Once you have left the game, don't rejoin after (you can rejoin games you cd if noone takes over). Again, a mod will hopefully enforce this.
