Thankful I live in a great country, where people with diametrically opposing ideas can vehemently disagree, insult each other, be rude and obnoxious, insult our government in the harshest of terms...and still walk the streets freely. I'm thankful that every 4 years we can have a bloodless coup, and overthrow our government if we the people so vote it.

I'm thankful for the spare keyboard i kept, "just in case" one of the kids pours soup on my regular one!

I am thankful to be in a prospering nation (even if we do have the Greeks at our throat for money.), to have my Gods look over my family each and everyday, and that my fiance's father is improving in health(Wotan & Hermod be praised for their generosity). Oh! And I am thankful that America could spread a holiday about loving one another across the world!

Is this really a Thanksgiving post?

I'm thankful for the free will that God bestowed upon us that allows us to make the wrong choices in order to learn and absorb experiences for what they are worth. I'm also thankful for the emotions that make us irrational beings. What would a 3-day hike through the Rocky Mountains with virtually no human contact, no plumbing except a hole in the ground and a plastic box with a hole in the middle with no-privacy-whatsoever, only freeze-dried food, and berries, be without the capability to stand in wonder of the landscape around you?
