Because backing out of a game is letting down the other six people you are playing with and is generally a dick thing to do. If you don't have time to play ask for a pause until you have time to play again.

If your trying to back out because the game is going poorly, deal with your issues. Man up and keep on going. Heaven knows you might learn something about responsibility that way.

Or, you know. It's a placeholder for a group of friends trying to organize a game with mixed timezones. Reading the OP can be helpful.

Going off of damian's second point: Until you disband your last piece, you've got a chance for a draw at the very least.

There isn't an OP Miyanagi. It just ask us to read the title. I did and responded to it.

As well you have no point since setting up a game with mixed time zones is not that difficult. You password protect it and give it a couple day join phase. Breaking site rulles isn't needed.

And as ODaly kindly added on to my point. Your never out till you have no pieces left. There are examples of a one center power coming back to win. They are few and far between but they happen.

I have a game I just drew where I went from two centers (one of which was occupied in spring) up to ten and a draw. *shrug*

If for some reason you really need to get out of a game, because your account is a placeholder.

Sigh. It means you have broken the rules.

Email the mods and ask them to ban it, then another account could take over that spot.

Thucy it is actually kind of amusing that it went from a simple question that new players often ask to a person very nearly putting themselves up for multi-accounting charges.

I'd say it's one of those classics blunders. Like never get involved in a land war in Asia.
