Well, I had it tough.

I used to have to get up three hours before the sun to get my share of a trough of lard used to feed all twenty of us living in that old rundown shack of a place, in the middle of Vermont with half a roof and half a floor missing, go to work in the fields for 14 hours a day picking while on one side of me a mule worker whipped me to go faster and on another side a Commie whipped me to stop working and rise up against the first whipper, came home, and Dad would beat mea about the head and gut with an iron crowbar laced with salt!
