WoW is a far superior game for camaraderie than Dip. I play with some IT buds (and we play WITH, not AGAINST each other.

yeah... it's true its a lot of fun and you build friendships there but...

i dunno. i spent one hell of a long time doing it. and what do i have to show for it besides getting some cultural references and having something to talk about with some of my friends who played with me?

dont get me wrong, it was hella fun. World PvP was my favorite. Stranglethorn Vale, anyone, or how about that PvP village that you would fight over in Nagrand? I spent forever on that... all just to give the Alliance some legitimacy. And now they have an expansion, so it was all for nil. Lol.

We stick to PvE and are currently working on some Horde toons. Gideanlived is my undead warrior, level 36. He's the tank of our group this time out. When we reach 80, we'll start again with a new series, maybe Horde, maybe Alliance.

haha 36 man enjoy it you have a long way to go. you must be just about to go to STV, right? if you're not already....

enjoy that. lol. well then again i'm pretty sure a while back they made it so you can get from 1 to 60 twice as fast as you used to be able to.

coincidentally they added that right when i hit 60.

Actually, we are working Arathi at the moment, but I have other characters well above 36. This is my third non-death knight character to level up. I also have a very low level Alliance character as a mule who I intend to level up eventually.

I've played off and on sense the early alpha in 2001. From 2005 until July of this year, I led a large guild and learned an insane amount of leadership and management skills. Though I'll never be able to explain that in an interview, I have written several papers on it and got great marks on them all. =P

I started playing again about a week ago, though casually and with old friends, outside of a leadership position.

I played EQ for years and then jumped to WoW when it came out. I loved raiding in EQ. Working our way through NToV was some of the most fun I've had on a computer. Just you and your closest 50 friends. But I've got a family now so just didn't have time to raid in WoW. Without the raiding it just felt like a treadmill and I stopped a couple of years back.

I played quite a bit after it went live; I was a very regular player for probably a year and a half after that, while I was in school. Since then, I've more or less given it up. I re-sub for a month and check it out once or twice a year, but at this point I don't think I'm going back.

It was a phenomenal waste of time. Fun, but an absolutely pit to pour time down. I think my total time played would probably amount to a thousand hours or more, and what do I have to show for it? Some pixels on the screen, and a few fond memories. I gave it up, and also gave up TV, and with the time it's freed up, I've been able to read all kinds of books, keep up-to-date on the news, and even start learning a couple of new, real-life skills. I'm always a little tempted to go back--but not tempted enough to give up my free time.

What is WoW? I have no clue what this is.

I love me some WoW. I respect and understand why some people give it up but I look at as just an awesome video game. I love playing video games and this is better then buying a new game for 60 bucks and playing it only for 12 - 20 hours while WoW I can pay 15 bucks a month and play for hundreds of hours.
Unlike most nerdy Warcraft player sterotypes I try to make a point to remain socially active and try to keep in shape and hang out with friends.
I have a lvl 71 Troll Hunter, a lvl 40 Undead Rouge, and a lvl 69 Tauren Death Knight that I'm working on leveling to 80.
