I just started a new game, and I want to play only one game at a time to avoid burning out. (It's working so far ….) So while I'd be interested in playing this, I'm not interested in playing it now.

The game would be a free for all, so much like SoW but anyone can commentate, offer advice both diplomatic and tactical, sledge, etc. etc. So the game would really be more of a demonstration match rather than a serious game. I'd suggest a small pot of maybe 5 , WTA. Hopefully get some good players involved so depending on interest maybe we can set a points limit or Ghost Rating limit to encourage decent opposition. I think for now I'll just ask for expressions of interest.

Anyone interested please let me know here.

I think it could be a fun idea, as well as maybe even educational, plus also foster a bit of community spirit in the forum.

can I suggest 40ish hours as a turn length - allowing time for heckling, and different timezones, and a commitment to finalise as soon as reasonable.

I can't really play anything much faster than that

Well the actual rules would be normal rules for the game. As for the public press/gallery, anything goes. I was still thinking we could have normal in-game press between the players, but we could play it as public press only I guess if players wanted to do that.

I like that Sanjo has started the heckling before the game has even started! That's the spirit!

Taking a shot, in the title of the thread, at one of the more known players on this site might draw in more interest. I haven't seen Submariner in a while, but he would have been a good choice.

Yeah well I just thought if it's going to work we need a bit of interest, so a new thread with a catchy title is probably a good idea also once the game begins. :)
