Draw In A Gunboat Game?
Is it considered acceptable by gunboat rules - in general - to vote for a draw in one where you think its appropriate? It doesn't REALLY seem to count as press, but it does signal some sentiment.

Oh where did that game go.....
I joined a game last night, and I just checked on it this morning, and the game's not there any more. It was in the pre-game phase. Is there any way this can happen?

Admins, Pause this game?
One of the players will be away this weekend because of his graduation.
He has requested the pause but the vote may not be passed in time.
Can we have one of the admins to please pause this game for us?

Poll: How often do you actually use "view order history"
Edi's comment in the gunboat posts got me thinking about support orders issued that don't show up on the map because the attack they're supporting doesn't happen. How often do players look over the orders issued?

Browser Trouble
I'm using Firefox 3.0.7 and every link I click on on this site will result in a very annoying and fast Loading...Done cycle.
Darwyn (1601 D)
20 Mar 09 UTC
The STOP button on my toolbar is flickering from grayed out to active every half second. The only way to stop it is to repeatedly click it until I happen to catch it as it's active.

This cycle repeats every time I press a button. I will hit "Post Reply" now and it will continue...

anyone else having this problem? I'm thinking it may be from the Plura Processing. But I've never had this problem before today.

okay, just realized that this only happens when I am logged in. Perusing the site while NOT logged in does not result in this annoying load cycle.

What is it about being logged in causes this?
Darwyn (1601 D)

The status bar also flickers between "Done" and "Read 64.125.222.22"

I may have to run a check on this IP.

You have no idea how annoying this is right now. :(

Damn, just lost my post..

In the next version there's an FAQ post which explains what Plura is etc, and lets people opt out of it themselves. Until then mods have to do it, and I just removed Plura

But because most use FF3 and run Plura fine it's probably a problem with your Java installation; I'd go to java.com and check that you've got the latest one
