the only way Republicans are against THIS, is they're trying to get the ACA removed. It's already collapsing and hurting the entire healthcare industry, and yes removing the ACA won't be pleasant, but keeping it is just going to lower quality of overall care, massively increase debt, and costs are just going to keep skyrocketing. Have you ever been to the border, Yanik? There’s a pretty fucking massive river, a barbed wire fence, and one of the most heavily militarized border police patrols in the world. It is so fucking hard for someone from Mexico to get into the United States that smugglers get paid tens of thousands of dollars per head just to get them across the border, and then what? They get thrown in a factory job no halfway educated person would ever want. I am a huge proponent of making citizenship easier to achieve and cracking down hard on undocumented people (simply because citizenship is better for them anyway), but as things are, undocumented people are *not* a problem in this country, and since it’s now my tax dollars being pledged toward this stupid wall, I’m upset about it."
bo, my uncle, (hypothetically my next-door neighbors but i'll never say anything officially on them because i love them and don't want them deported) and even my liberal econ teacher have all walked across the border before. the fence doesn't cover everything, and also it's a shitty fence.
i hate the poor working conditions most illegal immigrants (and undocumented workers) get, but that's why we need an easier pathway to citizenship. Overall i agree that they're not a problem, but the wall you're worried about? 25 billion dollars is the estimate. the F-35 is a 1.45 TRILLION DOLLAR JET THAT DOESNT WORK. the government wastes TONS MORE MONEY. This might have somewhat of an impact though

i'll admit i'm not the biggest fan of Trump here, but Obama has been extremely shit as well. doesn't justify him being bad, but it's not a SUDDEN CHANGE, whereas our economy can't afford another collapse.

the economy is in recovery mode, if we don't have self sustainable infrastructure and industries separate from government support before another collapse, we're in deep deep shit. 40% stock market crash last time out, I'd reckon we could beat it under Trump
