I tend to stay on the safe side with jokes unless I really know my audience. In this case, I think MM probably went too far for most but I would not be offended if su h a joke was made at my expense and I just tried to make the best of it. My reaction was a witty remark in itself and in no way made the conversation worse, IMO.

I don't rule out that I misjudged but in the end I feel like it would be best if everything would be joked about. Serious subjects in particular. I just try not to offend so I don't joke about everything.

His economic policy is garbage and he doesn't understand the implications of terrible social legislation on investors and companies both coming to and staying in Indiana. That said, I'm thrilled that he got picked because that means he can't be reelected to be my lowlife of a governor. I think John Gregg was going to beat him anyway, so this is probably a win-win - he gets a chance to resurrect his political career in a big way without the stain of stupid decisions as governor hanging over his head and Indiana doesn't have to give a fuck about him anymore.

Yeah, krellin, back when he was following nicely in the footsteps of Mitch Daniels, who I also wanted to be the Republican nominee. Starting in years 2 and 3, Pence went all evangelical on us. That was the beginning of the end. His true colors revealed themselves.
