The majority of your games are gunboat so I'm not sure how useful SoW will be given it's full press. Is there a gunboat SoW?

I ran a gunboat SoW ava, Split and the Czech both bailed as professors. Gen Lee took over though so I would talk to him or lando if you're interested in running another one.

I didn't get my first win until 50 games. I'm still learning something new nearly every game. I'd be involved with a new gunboat SoW, I know CSteinhardt had mentioned wanting it as well.

@slyguy: We should have a game (anon, WTA, 36hr) only open to experienced people (85+ games) and low win percentage (<3%). By the end at least one of us would get better percentages and some points - assuming there's anyone else out there as experienced and as crap at the game as the 2 of us.

I currently have 0 so can neither create nor join such a game, but I'm almost dead in the 2 games I'm in, so it won't be long now...

@Slyguy - you can go back through game moves to see what the winning players did to get from 3 to 18 year by year, by doing that it will show you how to play and win with each country for free. You will learn a few tricks & tips you can then use in your own games, or you can copy their opening moves.
I didn't use the Support/Hold feature until about 150 games in, nor bouncing, convoying, supporting opposition players, etc, etc.
Also I didn't learn how to look at moves from the previous goes to see things like failed supports.
By looking at previous games from 'top' gunboaters like SplitD you can see how they do it, hope that helps.

I could definitely use a gunboat SOW. I tend to do a little better in full press, but I do not really have the time for that. And I do think GB rewards a focus on tactics.
