I haven't been on this site since 2010, and don't have a very good GR here, but have a pretty good record on Vdip. 6th place in d-points, 1st place in the first 1v1 tournament, currently winning in the 2nd 1v1 tournament, and zero missed phases.

If there is room, and there is no objection to my low GR, I would be interested in playing.

Longer than an Obi post?

Not to be controversial and unappreciative, but how will this work with players from another site, kick out the least highly ranked people that play on webDip and welcome in new faces?

I imagine the TD can use his judgement on that. He seems to know their credentials so why not just trust GF to do his best to set up a stellar tournament. He's done a good job of assembling a stellar cast so far.

@MM - I've asked a total of 4 players from VDip to check out the Masters tourney - two of them being drano and Leif who were already highly ranked on the site - so I'm being fairly deliberate about whom I choose. I passed the names by Lando too, if that means anything.

Yonni - thanks so much for doing that. I'll plug it all in tomorrow, but it looks like it should work!

So here's what its gonna look like (so far. drano is still holding out on me, but he'll cave too). I do feel awful excluding some (now that we have more than enough...even enough to do 49 member tourney) but I will start seeding people as active/subs based on GR. There is a difference between a sub and a sitter. Subs will only take part if a player drops out or if no sitters are available. GR will be the better between your all-time and WTA category GR

I may end up bowing out, because I'll likely be gone, or with limited internet access for the month between the end of March and mid-April since I'll be touring Europe. It shouldn't be a problem TD-wise, since rounds 3 and 4 will go up right before I leave, and 5 and 6 right when I get back.

I'll need 6 volunteers to set up games for each of the rounds. I'll email them with details a few days before each round is set to launch. They'd email me back and I'll contact the rest of the players.

Just for an update, I've worked out the scheme Yonni posted through the first 4 rounds. Its good on the country side....though a bit iffy on matching up players. I'll give my opinion of the results when I finish the last 3 rounds.
