What do people do outside of webDip?
Do people actually have lives outside of this game? What do people actually pursue with their existence? Who has the worst job? All of these burning questions, just waiting to be answered.

It appears the days where America cared about polar bears, rising sea levels, emissions, and trying to be a leader in changing our dying planet.... has all come to an end. RIP Earth.

WebDiplomacy Survivor - Final Tribal Council
35 days ago, 21 castaways begun their journey in the webDiplomacy version of the famous reality game show. Now, only three - Balki Bartokomous, DemonOverlord, Fluminator - remain, and all have fought tooth and nail to make it this far.

The final victor will be decided by eleven of the players they voted out, and this is their opportunity to sway votes their way. Welcome to Final Tribal.

:(
I think we're all still within the bounds.
I think you are awesome and I know Balki thinks you are awesome too.
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Ugh. I probably can't even try to peacemake right now without looking like I have an ulterior motive.
Ghug, go deal with this.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Ok Flum. No reason to try and make yourself look like the mediator.
More Questions:
For Balki, Did you ever actually have an ally you wanted to take to the end this game?
For Demon, On your first tribe, who did you most want to work with?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
You obviously. You're squad.
Okay, another question, if you want to work with someone, is it wise to pedantically go against an interest of theirs and bring it up at the last minute instead I don't know, bringing it up beforehand and slowly discussing it over the course of a turn?'

Do you think doing that would be more or less likely for them to ingratiate them towards you, especially if said person is known for holding grudges?
@Demon, I have kept this discussion about the game. I believe I played the best game, and I am eager (probably over-eager) to describe why.

You've called me a douchebag, an asshole, and a real shame.

I'd like to keep the discussion to the events in the game.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@Vash are you referring to Chaqa? Because I felt you were getting closer to him than me and I didn't want that. I really don't think you would have been ok to vote him out at any point so I had to do it without your consent. In fact I'm pretty sure I did mention something about it and you were like no we need him (we really didn't).

@balki you're blatant manipulation of the events is bullshit, don't give me that pathetic "I'm keeping it in the game" crap. You're a liar. And you just brought it up in fucking mafia
Vashta said: "For Balki, Did you ever actually have an ally you wanted to take to the end this game?"

Yes. Vashta, Flum, Demon, Ezio, Moscow, Bozo. Probably Vashta, Flum, and Demon most of all.

The list is really longer than that, but these are folks who I actively considered the most.

For me, I was confident in my game, and I wasn't worried about who was competition at final jury. I felt like I was playing a very good game, and my main concern was that once it got down to one tribe, the leading consideration would be "who will win at final jury" and I would be voted out -- especially after the survey.

So my thought process in all tribals was to (1) keep everyone's trust, and (2) send people home who I thought were least likely to take me to final jury. I generally had the mindset, Vashta, that you would have taken me to final jury, and so I was sincere in wanting to work with you until the end.

Also note: my work at Exile was not just about my individual game. I wanted the Entente Tribe to (1) have immunity, and (2) have a ready-made alliance to step into after the merge. Both of the cross-tribe alliances I laid the foundation for included everyone in Entente.
@Demon, I'm not going to call you names, or get personal. And I'd prefer you not call me names, and get personal.
Durga (3609 D)

No you're just lying instead, congrats. You know we talked a lot of final three deals Balki, I don't think they ever included Vash. Let me go check.
You didn't answer the question. I asked about the method and effects.
@Vashta:

"Okay, another question, if you want to work with someone, is it wise to pedantically go against an interest of theirs and bring it up at the last minute instead I don't know, bringing it up beforehand and slowly discussing it over the course of a turn?' Do you think doing that would be more or less likely for them to ingratiate them towards you, especially if said person is known for holding grudges?"

As I'm reading the people who have posted the most here, I think a flaw in my game was to underestimate that some people would use their jury vote to settle grudges. I didn't expect that uclabb, Ezio, or Snowy would do that. And I didn't expect that you would do that (to any of us).

That's coming from a good place, in all honesty. I have respect for you guys and respect for the game. I imagine you would approach a jury vote the same way I would: To look carefully at why people did what they did, and judge who played the best strategic game.

I don't actually know who is known for holding grudges or any of that. I consider you all to be here playing for the love of the game.
@Demon, you and I made final 3 deals that included other people after Vashta went home, not before.

But, regardless, why would I tell you during the game how I close I was with Vashta? Vashta and I both guarded that secret carefully.
Ezio (2181 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Balki what you're missing is that this is part of the game still. This vote is still part of the overall Survivor game.
Imagine we played a game of diplomacy and you stabbed me in the game. I'm going to do whatever I can to bring you down in the game, and that is quite normal.
If you try to cut me out of the draw I try to throw the game to the person who soloed. That's how this works. That's why stabbing has costs.
I'm not going to treat you any differently IRL or in any other game because you lied and stabbed your way through this game, but this is still a game where I have powers of retribution.
So you wanted to work with me, Balki, then why did you just leak my advantage to every living soul and never even consider giving me the idol that you specifically said was "our idol"?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Nope Balki. This was when Vash was still in the game:
(To: You, from Turkey) - Spring, 1901: @Demon, I swear to you the following:

- My preference is a final three of you, me, and ghug.
- I like ghug, and I want him to survive.
(To: You, from Turkey) - Spring, 1901: If I'm lying about any of that, I'll send you a signed picture of myself.

You reiterate this quite a few times not only before Vash is voted out but after as well. I genuinely believe that had Flum not gotten the immunity it would have been a me, you and ghug final.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@vash what method? Like why did I do it? Can you explain to me the question as if I'm stupid pls
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
And I don't know. I haven't seen survivor so I played the game expecting that people would take their grudges to the end. That only seems human and reasonable to me, unless y'all are a bunch of masochists with Stockholm Syndrome.
If you thought I was getting a bit close to Chaqa (and I am unsure why you'd think so little if me to be so easily swayed by him), why not bring it up earlier, when it's not a bombshell that changes everything, instead of less than an hour before the vote?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@vash you'd try and stop me
Then why bring it up at all?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Why not? You should know what was going to happen
And also why after you'd done that on speculative knowledge at best would you ever be the person I'd most want to work with?
@Demon, I don't know if your timing is right, but your post above pretty much sums up my case. You believed that if Flum did not win immunity, it would have been you, me, and ghug in the final. This was the major motivation for me to stab Ezio and Snowy, who I don't think would have brought me to the jury.

And, yes, I concealed my alliance with Vashta, and spoke to you in terms of you and ghug both. Why? Because I (and most everyone, I think) had the impression that you were mostly doing as ghug requested, and I wanted to conceal my alliance with Vashta.
It didn't seem like informing me of what was happening given you changed your vote and then changed it back. Also why not explain it after instead of maling me think i could change sonething or maybe do something drastic like plauy my idol on him?
"So you wanted to work with me, Balki, then why did you just leak my advantage to every living soul and never even consider giving me the idol that you specifically said was "our idol"?"

I did not leak your advantage to every living soul. I told Flum that I speculated that the blue container might contain a vote switch.

If I thought you were going home at 7, I very well may have done something to prevent it. I did not think you were going home at 7.

I don't think it's fair to say "If you really wanted to work with me." I mean, you and I did work together, a lot. I would have liked to work with you more.

See, that's because Balki says shit like that to everyone.

He told me I was his closest ally just before Vash died. Right after Vash died, he told me he was upset because Vash was his closest ally. I actually think that was the one time he was sincere to me all game, because there's really no reason to lie about that when you're trying to convince someone they're your closest ally.

Whoops, that was supposed to post 20 minutes ago.

Basically the idea is to provide you with a centre so we can work together. The only press is public commitment to attack Italy. Every sentence may be in Gascony and the other games. The rest is autocompleted to find out what kind of player is required.
