Poetry opportunities..?
There used to be great organizations that worked through my school for poetry in youth, but now that I actually have an appreciation for poetry it seems like there aren't as many opportunities to perform or compete with poems.
Is anyone aware of prominent high school poetry organizations?

Is this game getting less popular?
I remember using this site years ago and I felt I could always find games to join, or if I made a game it would fill up in a couple of days at most.

Is there another site that people are using to play? It still seems like this one is the best at least from my quick google.

Must See Movie Reccomendations
So I like movies a lot and one of my goals in life is to watch every movie that is worth watching. I've seen most of AFIs top 100 and I have a to-watch list that is 168 films and counting. As such, I was curious if anyone here has some must-see movies that I may not know about.

I've considered pursuing a music major.. is the outcome worth the cost? It seems like the stereotype for music majors is that there's no real future.

The Arab Spring was a horrible failure
Can you name any countries that benefitted from the Arab Spring? Libya is literally a slave-state, Egyptians overthrew one leader only to overthrow the next, Iranian arab spring failed, Syria is a bloodbath. Is there a single positive that came from this movement?

Why no love for Sum of Squares scoring?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Draw Size scoring, because it rewards the power that hung on with one dot the same as the 17 SC power that was a hair away from the solo.

What I've noticed is that almost every new game is Draw Size Scoring. Is that just because it's the default option or are players here just not fond of it.

The Paris Uprising of 1832 was a horrible failure
Can you name any characters that benefited from the Paris Uprising of 1832? Éponine is literally and figuratively heartbroken, Jean Valjean overcame Javert only to die of old age in the next bloody act. Is there a single positive that came from this musical?

Who Are The Real Dinosaurs In Congress?
Republicans do a better job of promoting younger members, in part because they limit, to six years, the length of time a member can be chairman or chairwoman of a committee. Democrats do not impose term limits on committee leaders or so-called ranking members, the top slot for lawmakers who are in the minority.

No, more like you've voted ghug every day and I'm not at all surprised you've done so again. Instead of actually using your vote, pressuring other people and turning over rocks, you park it on ghug.
ghug (5068 D(B))

Just to clarify...
##Vite Ghug

Your response to being made a wagon with real lynch potential has been lacking in sincerity and it seems you are clawing at feet to stay alive. You keep calling people’s actions and themselves scummy. It feels like you are seeing what will stick. I’m sorry ghug but you are scum.

Like you were already voting for me. What's the purpose of the grandstanding?
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Because I voted you after ND with intent of moving back (I believe I stated that but maybe I didn’t , but now I think I’m down to vote for you.)
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Not grand standing. Just, as I said, clarifying.
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
I don't want a single person to blame me for this when y'all kill me. This is happening because you're all terrible at this game. There are three competent players left alive, and it's likely one will be lynched and one will be nightkilled, so here's fucking hoping Maniac is town.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Are you going to call that scummy now too?? Who else is scum for voting for you ghug? I don’t know if you are aware, I’d assume you are, but there are only 2 scum left. So we all can’t be scum ghug. Contrary to your death cries.

Look, you’ve been a major wagon almost every day. You are coming if scummy to me right now but even if you are town your lynch could clarify a lot and I think that’s why you haven’t been NK if you are town.

So if you are scum: we’ll of course I want you lynched
If you are town: scum have an interest in keeping you alive and so we need to kill you.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
@Jamie
@Ragingike

You are the only two I’m absolutely comfortable are town. Can you give reads for two scenarios??

1.If ghug is scum
2.if ghug is town

CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
@ND since you are confident ghug is scum.
What is your read if he flips town?
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Scum have interest in keeping me alive, and that's why you've been half beating the ghug drum for days without ever really pushing to lynch me.

Where am I accusing everyone of being scum? I'm accusing you and Bozo of being scum and everyone else of being morons. Bozo's a moron too because he's been so obvious. You're a moron as well, though as long as you're scum I don't think you're playing badly.
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
I like that I called Byron scum and then suddenly his vote on me became "real".
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
well then i guess im playing badly. And i absolutely can care less if you think im scum. My vote on you became "real" when my reads + your response to being the leading wagon = scum

but sure. its because you accused me of being scum. because anyone took that shit seriously.
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
How could my response to being the leading wagon be suspicious now but not literally every other day when it happened?
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
guak claimed me as scum for a few days. I havent pushed him since D2.
ND claimed me scum for days. I only pushed him today when something about his behavior seemed reactionary and off.
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
People have taken my shit seriously enough to lynch who I told them to all four days. I'm sure you're aware of that.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
@ghug- are you not hearing the difference in your tone? word usage? you've become more serious. More angry. more pressured. the other days its like you weren't feeling pressure, almost like you were in control or you werent the last of two scum. your tone has shifted.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
well would you look at that cross-post. I say "like you were in control" and ghug says "lynch who i told them"
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
It's possible my tone has changed. I at the point where I'm not enjoying this game anymore because I'm pretty tired of how stupid everyone is, and it's been obvious since last night started that I'm finally gonna get popped today.

I don't like being mislynched, and after four days of avoiding it and catching a couple of scum in the mean time, I really shouldn't be, but there ain't much I can do at this point beyond reminding you all how fucking stupid you are.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Why don't you help me out here. If we lynch you and you are town, who would you scum read? You say bozo and me? is that serious? (I mean i know im not scum, but do you feel that strongly about bozo? why?)
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Do you remember how hard Bozo fought when we were lynching him for tying the vote last game? There was a lot of analysis going on, and most of it wasn't half bad. This Bozo is fucking lazy and useless.

As for you, I don't think most of the players left would have had the discipline to not kill me given how great I am, and the way you'd repeatedly scumread me and the two scum that we've lynched and then find ways to not vote for any of us just reeks of scum. Take this progression of quotes from day three:

"I am townreading ghug and Ezio. See I think ghug and Ezio are possibly both town and the scum knew that by NKing DO we’d go after ghug and/or Ezio. It’s too easy. They could’ve let us continue to bicker but instead they acted very decisively.

I’m not sure where my vote will be. I’ve got some reading but I refuse to vote ghug or Ezio."

"Both days peter has jumped directly onto the lynch. I think scum is using peter as a safety on ezio so that if ezio is on the chopping block peter can hop off and vote for the next largest wagon. Dropping ezio by 1 vote and propping up the wagon by 1 vote making the difference 2 votes and with minutes left to convince anyone of a switch.

For this reason my scum team is:
Peter
Ezio
Maniac
Rdrivera"

"I think Ezio is scum and I think scum team are voting him now just to save face. But I’ll take it.

[]Vote Ezio"

"[]Vote Peterlund

I just got the gut feeling this is a better lynch than Ezio."

"[]Vote Maniac

I think both Ezio and Peter are scum and I think they are both trying to get credit by sacrificing the other. (Just because they are a team doesn’t mean they have to agree)"

Your read evolves to scumread Ezio as it looks more likely he's going to be lynched, but you do everything in your power to vote for anyone else rather than him. That's some fucking textbook trying to save a teammate.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
15 Nov 17 UTC
Wow I wasn’t even aware I came across that way. I go into every day with an open mind. So where I can start on a townread I can be swayed. Another case of this is this day in which i am now voting you but had a moment of ND vote and could very easily end elsewhere. (I don’t think I will but I’m still open to new ideas)

I don’t put a ton of work into not sounding scummy because I know I’m not, I say what I mean and vote how I’m reading. I do find it really interesting on an out of game level that it can be so easy to read things out of context when you don’t know peoples motives. It actually makes me less confident in my reads in general.
ghug (5068 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
I'm all about not putting effort into not sounding scummy (if you ever get good at this game, which is unlikely because you're a moron, you'll actually have to start putting effort into sounding scummy early so you can survive late). I don't think your words themselves there sound particularly scummy, but given the flips, it seems pretty apparent to me that you've been talking a lot about lynching various people that you don't actually want to lynch, like Ezio there, or me for the past two days.
Maniac (189 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
@jamie, raging and oztra - we can either save Ghug or condemn him . If you guys want good dead then i’ll Accept that and spend rest of the day looking past a Ghug Lynch and hopefully if Ghug is town he’ll help us nail scum tomorrow. I could vote for Rd, bozo, Uber and increasingly Peter.

@alI want to know from each of you what both Ghug flips tell you. Assume he flips scum, who is is last partner? If he flips town who then is scum and why?
Maniac (189 D(B))
15 Nov 17 UTC
@CB - I think guak tells you somewhere to open your mind. It’s laughable that you say you start each day with an open mind. Assume Ghug if town for an few hours and go read the thread a fresh. Put you’re self in the position of a solicitor defending his client and make a Ghug defence case. You don’t have to share it but the process will be good for you to develop as a player.
