Well, congrats to Xapi on managing to get that draw after all!!!!! And to my other fellow players on the team South America. Hurra!!!! I don´t know what were the odds, but we are one of the black horses....

And congrats to all the players on the Cup for the high level of play on all the games of the finals and for the tournament director for all the hard work.

I have some suggestions for the next editions, if we are having one (maybe in four years, like futball or rugby, lol), but will wait for the thread from DJEcc

@Troodonte - I come very close to a solo twice but you and hammac were really good on blocking me :-)

@Xapi, yeah, I knew it was you and knew that you knew it was me from the way you were playing. You were careful knowing how far you could and needed to push things to make sure I didn't do anything silly.

Naturally I had to *try* to get the win.

TGM I was watching your gameplay.
You tried (and succeeded) in breaking England southwest, getting yourself spa and mar.
Then it was obvious you would try attacking aus to grab the solo (and the win in the cup).
South America reply to stab you instead deprived you of any solo chance.
In my opinion you should have played it otherwise. Back off spa and mar and combine with england for a 17-17 draw (scenario in which southeast europe wins the cup), but in
the end stab england and try for a 18-16 solo.

Score, good tournament. :P

@hellalt, Austria was going to throw the game entirely if I went for him. England needed to be willing to compensate for this, since had I agreed to his terms I would have got nowhere and England would have soloed instantly.

I did try for a 17-17 with England, but he immediately moved to attack Warsaw and Moscow, rather than Vienna and Trieste, so I aborted the same turn.
