Draw question
If someone has zero SC's, but doesn't have the shameline through their name and a draw goes through, do they still get a fraction of the pot?

Like, should everybody wait for them to be officially defeated before calling a draw?

a lack of integrity
To anyone who disapproves of lying in a game of diplomacy, I warn you not to trust the player known as mwalton. Whatever he may say to the contrary, he's a vulgar backstabber, luring people into alliances which he which then breaks without a word of warning within three or four phases.

Ghostie, we need a sub
Thomas B has gone AWOL. He was part of league D1. The first game just drew. He had 14 SCs but was in CD, so he did not share in the draw or the pot. In Game 4, we have begun with Italy in CD because Thomas didn't join. Can you force CD in the other 2 and get a sub?

iPhone / mobile browser issue
When I try and load up the phpdip site on my iPhone everything works perfectly, except the message logs - it only shows up about half of the logs, which means you can't see any new message as they appear at the bottom.

Is there anything that can be done about this? If nothing else an option to have new messages at the top of the log rather than the bottom would get around the issue.

Draug, Draug, Draug <shakes head slowly>.
Cardiff is WELSH, not English. That puts you in Nidd for sure. Miss your turns until a reverse.
It is a valid move though, so I can use the Torchwood Loop to move to

Pete, I think you'll find that Draug used the ECB Ashes ruling to claim Cardiff as part of England, so he remains out of Nidd for the time being... which is somewhat annoying as it means the only move I can now make is

York
Pete U (293 D)

Dave - 1964 rules - none of these new fangled test venues count. However, I suppose Nidd is too much of a punishment in this case.

FromYork, I'm going to try a Rainbow Mnemonic to somewhere Green

Sorry, it wasn't the Ashes ruling, it was instead the 1921 ECB Act of Anglicization, my mistake!

Going to have to call you on that one Xapi. A descending sequence can only be broken after an even number, unless a fair catch has been called by the server. I didn't hear the call from you, so I have to presume it wasn't made..

That's an even number of total moves, not an even number in our Ankara Meltdown Counter.

I checked.
Pete U (293 D)

Even number of letters - I refer you to Rule 6.1.a.ii, Subsection 5 Clause xxvi (1964 edition).

I checked too :-P

Slough is not a coastal town, Draug, so no pirates there - Key West is thus surely forbidden?

Does anyone know where I can learn to play Ankara Crescent? I'd never heard of it before reading this thread and it seems to be the most confusing game ever.
Maniac (189 D(B))
02 Jul 09 UTC
several books have been published, but the game dates back so long, most are out of print. The game now follows the oral traditions, I agree it may look confusing, but when you play it it's really simple.

Alert! Red Spy! In the base!
Any TF2 players here? What's your class and SN?

I play Spy unless there's already one or two, then I switch to Medic or Engie. I also do Pyro and Scout, and dabble in Demoman, Heavy, and Soldier.
SN should be either PandaKnight or Pandarsenic but I'm not sure which one you have to add to add me properly.

New game for those new to the site
I just started a game for those new to the site (though you don't have to be new to the game). Come join me and let's play a quickie to get some experience. It's nine hours per move (in case you want to sleep in one day) and it's only five points to play. It'll be fun and a great learning experience!
