Poetry opportunities..?
There used to be great organizations that worked through my school for poetry in youth, but now that I actually have an appreciation for poetry it seems like there aren't as many opportunities to perform or compete with poems.
Is anyone aware of prominent high school poetry organizations?

Is this game getting less popular?
I remember using this site years ago and I felt I could always find games to join, or if I made a game it would fill up in a couple of days at most.

Is there another site that people are using to play? It still seems like this one is the best at least from my quick google.

Must See Movie Reccomendations
So I like movies a lot and one of my goals in life is to watch every movie that is worth watching. I've seen most of AFIs top 100 and I have a to-watch list that is 168 films and counting. As such, I was curious if anyone here has some must-see movies that I may not know about.

I've considered pursuing a music major.. is the outcome worth the cost? It seems like the stereotype for music majors is that there's no real future.

The Arab Spring was a horrible failure
Can you name any countries that benefitted from the Arab Spring? Libya is literally a slave-state, Egyptians overthrew one leader only to overthrow the next, Iranian arab spring failed, Syria is a bloodbath. Is there a single positive that came from this movement?

Why no love for Sum of Squares scoring?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Draw Size scoring, because it rewards the power that hung on with one dot the same as the 17 SC power that was a hair away from the solo.

What I've noticed is that almost every new game is Draw Size Scoring. Is that just because it's the default option or are players here just not fond of it.

The Paris Uprising of 1832 was a horrible failure
Can you name any characters that benefited from the Paris Uprising of 1832? Éponine is literally and figuratively heartbroken, Jean Valjean overcame Javert only to die of old age in the next bloody act. Is there a single positive that came from this musical?

Who Are The Real Dinosaurs In Congress?
Republicans do a better job of promoting younger members, in part because they limit, to six years, the length of time a member can be chairman or chairwoman of a committee. Democrats do not impose term limits on committee leaders or so-called ranking members, the top slot for lawmakers who are in the minority.

Things I notice about Ezio's D1:

Ezio interacts with quite a few people on D1. His interactions with Maniac and Ghug seem particularly interesting.

First on P6 Maniac tells Ezio his No-Lynch is unhelpful because it would leave *more* town alive later. Well that's a scummy statement.

Ezio reacts (also on P6) when Bo puts a naked vote on Maniac, demanding an explanation.

On P10 Ezio said "I scumread everyone voting Bozo". At that point exactly two people, Rdrivera2005 and Maniac were voting for Bozo.

Also on P10 describes Maniac's P6 analysis of the no lynch strategy as "terrible" and "useless".

At this point Vecna declares Ezio to be scum. Turns out he was right. Ghug, however, quickly comes to Ezio's defence:

"Ezio's not a newbie. He's not even an idiot when he's not playing mafia. He's advocated a no lynch in like five consecutive games, always as town. I'm counting this as a step in the right direction."

P11 Vecna continues to push Ezio and Ghug now takes the step of voting for Vecna.

Later on P11 Ghug says "Ezio get on Moscow with me". A weird thing to say since Ghug's vote was on Vecna at that point. He then says he'll vote for DO. If Ghug is scum could this be scum Ghug testing to see which townie they can get mislynched with the most ease?

P12 Ezio qualifies his criticism of Maniac. "Ghug mine was a point in his favor too. I've seen maniac be completely wrong and scummy as town."

P12 and 13 Ezio spends some time saying how "bad" the Ghug wagon is.

Early D2 he also criticised me for saying Ghug would have been a more informative lynch than Chaqa. After this he devoted a long post to explaining why Ghug was almost sure to be Town.

@Ghug: Do you have any comments about Ezio mounting a defence of you?
ghug (5068 D(B))
11 Nov 17 UTC
Scum defend townies. Look clean when they flip and you can often get them to like you.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))

Jamie- I have you town read. So are you suggesting scum team is ghug, Maniac, Ezio and a +1? If so would you consider voting maniac to test your theory and ghug next day? I’m just worried ghug is a decent player and it helps scum if he is town and we Mislynch. If we unify around a plan we can do almost anything. Would you consider??
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Could Ubercacher be the scumteam's lurker? An inexperienced player... all he's done is vote for Ghug, vote for Ghug, vote for Ghug, often with little or no comment. He joined the Ezio wagon but he could have been instructed to bus him for cred...
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@CommanderByron: I want to go back and look at Maniac's interactions with Bo, Vecna, DO, but as it stands I still scumread him. I am less sure on Ghug.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
11 Nov 17 UTC
Jamie, I like it. I’m willing to try this out and see what we get. Let’s push either ghug or maniac and see how others react. I think Maniac is the better lynch but can concede on ghug.

@peter, want some town cred? Jump on ghug or maniac.
ghug (5068 D(B))
11 Nov 17 UTC
Ok seriously did anyone else's reads evolve at all when scum flipped?
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Jamie, that would be a good tactic for the scum team if I was scum, just have me lurk and then bus occasionally.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Ghug: I am currently in the process.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Maniac: On both D1 and D2 you voted Ezio in the first part of the phase and then moved off him. On D3 you described the Ezio wagon as "manufactured" and tried to get people onto CB.

How do you feel about CommanderByron now? What do you think we learned from Ezio's lynch?
ghug (5068 D(B))
11 Nov 17 UTC
You are, Jamie. I'm proud of you.
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC

Uber, please define "them" ?
ubercacher16 (283 D)

Those people who you refer to in your previous posts. "They" include ghug, Maniac, and I.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Oh, ok, if you want me to vote for one of those people, I'll happily oblige.

##VOTE UBERCACHER16
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Ghug: Last night you said:

"Day 3: Is really long. I'll do it later."

Have you had time to review D3 yet?

Do you still scumread Maniac?
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
11 Nov 17 UTC
If ghug is scum and lives then that makes his scum claim in D1 a moment for the books. But that doesn’t make him scum.
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
I figured you'd do that, but idc. I was trying to get you to be decisive. Also I'm not scum.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Uber, you think the scumteam is Ghug, Guak and Peter. I consider that unlikely.
CommanderByron (801 D(S))
11 Nov 17 UTC
##Vote Ghug , are you scum? You can tell me it’s okay bud. I wont tell anyone just address it to @CB, no one else can see it when you do that.
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Jamie, I think that ghug is scum. I also think that Peter is scum and if he is then guak is probably scum with him.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Uber: What is the connection between Peter and Guak that you are seeing?
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Right at the beginning of the N3 guak says, "@peter: guess I was wrong about you. You somehow went from top scum read to top town read for me." It could mean nothing, but if it does it's huge.
ghug (5068 D(B))
11 Nov 17 UTC
@Jamie, I've already reviewed day three. I just don't really feel like typing anything up. I'll keep reviewing and if something important comes to me I'll be sure to let y'all know. I do still scumread Maniac.

@CB, I'm town. Please don't tell anyone though.

@Uber, you're other scumreads make me feel way better about you scumreading me.
ubercacher16 (283 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
I'll take that as a compliment ghug.
Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
"I've already reviewed day three. I just don't really feel like typing anything up."

So helpful. Is that because you noticed absolutely nothing, or because you are busy watching cartoons?
ND (879 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Yep Ghug is scum. His interactions over the past two pages have told me everything I need to know. After playing with him for years I have a fairly good meta read on him at this point and it is scum Ghug.

##VOTE Ghug

Jamiet99uk (758 D)
11 Nov 17 UTC
Could you elaborate on that slightly, Nud?
ghug (5068 D(B))
11 Nov 17 UTC
Well I can tell you with certainty that I'm not watching cartoons.

I noticed some things. Uber's vote looks really town (though less so if Maniac flips scum). Bozo's looks like he wanted credit for bussing a teammate who seemed dead, especially if Maniac is scum (he jumped off of my wagon onto Ezio earlier when it looked like a two-man race and then back onto it immediately when he saw that Maniac had put my back into contention). There were thirteen votes after Byron's with almost three hours left, and all but uber's belonged to me, Maniac, and Bozo. Combine that with the number of people on at EoD unwilling to break the tie I created and I get the sense that scum weren't interested in influencing the lynch, either because it was scum vs. scum and thus hopeless or just because they were bussing. In either case I'd expect to find at least one scum on Ezio's wagon (excluding Maniac). This has manifested mostly in a continued suspicion of Maniac and Bozo and a newfound townread of Uber.

ND, could you get smarter so that I can scumread you for being dumb with a clear conscience? Thanks.
