Oklahoma for Native Americans!
Oklahoma was cursed ever since it was stolen from the Native Americans. All the 'white' and 'brown' and 'black' and 'asian' folks (and any other non-native folks) should pack up and leave to texas or some place else and give it back. What say you?

Has anyone noticed the forum getting better?
With KB banhammered, all the nazis being ignored and laughed at rather than engaged and educational material everywhere, the forum has gotten noticabley less toxic and more useless. We need to fix this.

What Defines A New Player?
Hey everyone i was just browsing the new games to see if there were anything interesting that i could join when i stumbled across a game that had the requirement of 'New Players Only' and i was wondering how to make 'New Player' quantifiable. What is the time between you join till you are considered not a 'New Player.' Or in essence are we all new players?

Trump endorses ultra-right UK racist hate group
"Britain First" is a white nationalist organisation active in the UK which promotes violence against Muslims and immigrants, whose founder openly advocated for a "religious war" on the streets of the UK.

I'm no fan of the Guardian, but there's a good reason its investigative journalists are in the international media alliances that went after major fish like the Panama & Paradise Papers, and the Daily Mail's are not.

I'm also a Leftie who voted Leave, though, so apparently I can't exist in Croak's world.

CroakandDagger (718 D)
01 Dec 17 UTC
Would I be right in assuming that you were swayed by the economic argument, Octavious? A lot of the conservative remainers i've spoken to are people who did not like the uncertainty and instability likely to come with decoupling ourselves politically from some of our most prominent trading partners, fully acknowledging that if we remained the EU bureaucracy was likely to push on with their ambitions of ever-closer-union but considering that a small price to pay to reassure the markets.

@C&D

Not really. I was convinced that there was an economic advantage to being in, but it was mostly because I felt the scenario in which we were members and could steer the EU in a less ever-closer union direction was by far preferable to us being neighbours to a European Superstate. In an ideal world the European Union wouldn't exist, but sadly that wasn't one of the options available.

Well damo666, it is my assessment that all major multinational institutions - whether they be impenetrable bureaucratic monoliths like the EU or imperious corporate empires - have broadly similar ultimate goals. Consolidation of as much power and influence under a single body and control of as many people and assets as possible.

The EU's expansionist stance has been evidenced in their support for independence movements whose stated aims are assimilation into the EU (See: Croatia 1992, Ukraine 2014) and their ambitions for hawkish imperialism are seen in their eager pushing for an EU armed forces. The phrase "Ever-closer-union" has been their catchphrase for years, and they have consistently overridden democratic efforts to slow integration down. (See: referendums in France 2005/Eire 2008 re: the EU constitution) A federated EU superstate is their end goal, and while they claim to respect the individual customs and cultures of their member states, the EU on the whole is not flexible enough to account for them all and will eventually result in the destruction of European diversity that stretches back thousands of years if not stopped.

Did you consider that the EU might be stronger and better without the UK holding it back?
damo666 (90 D)
01 Dec 17 UTC
Cheers man, love it.
ksako8 (1433 D)

And the EU is not a superstate nor an empire. I think the members of the EU are much better within than outside. Look at the wealth created, uplifting of poorer members and peace between it's members.

Why it is always German player
That never pushes ready in Gunboat games?
Like every single time if there is a player that saves his orders early on and waits 24 or 36 hours without pressing ready? Is there any rule that you should not slow game down? Or it is up to players if they want to iritate all others by making a retreat in full turn, and then disbanding the same army/fleet just after that in next full turn?
