What do people do outside of webDip?
Do people actually have lives outside of this game? What do people actually pursue with their existence? Who has the worst job? All of these burning questions, just waiting to be answered.

Trump pulls out
It appears the days where America cared about polar bears, rising sea levels, emissions, and trying to be a leader in changing our dying planet.... has all come to an end. RIP Earth.

WebDiplomacy Survivor - Final Tribal Council
35 days ago, 21 castaways begun their journey in the webDiplomacy version of the famous reality game show. Now, only three - Balki Bartokomous, DemonOverlord, Fluminator - remain, and all have fought tooth and nail to make it this far.

The final victor will be decided by eleven of the players they voted out, and this is their opportunity to sway votes their way. Welcome to Final Tribal.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I enjoyed it too. I think you're great.

Dunno, clearly sheer luck fam. And sorry it's 4am and I'm tired af. Regardless I really didn't see any effort on your part for saving snowy - which like even symbolically would have been important imo.
ghug (5068 D(B))

Balki, I gotta say that's not your best work. Meter's decidedly subpar and the source material is weak.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Hey did either of you two notice that they unpaused the diplomacy game?
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@Balki: We talked about how votes would go with Snowy being in the final 3. We knew he was going for the loyal vote, and was going to be getting votes from people like Glen and Ezio. I did think I had a good shot at beating him in the end though yes.
"@Balki: We talked about how votes would go with Snowy being in the final 3. We knew he was going for the loyal vote, and was going to be getting votes from people like Glen and Ezio. I did think I had a good shot at beating him in the end though yes."

Oh stop it. You thought Snowy sucked, and ghug was tough to beat, so you wanted Snowy to stick around.

I have embraced my level of manipulation and control. I believe I should win for it. This jury is not dumb. They're not going to vote based on who compliments them.

"Oh stop it. You thought Snowy sucked, and ghug was tough to beat, so you wanted Snowy to stick around."

Wouldn't a good manipulator be trying to convince snowy that Flum betrayed him?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
hey uclabb did you read my post :p
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Balki, if you think the reason I wanted to bring snowy to the final 3 was because he sucked, how do you feel that I wanted to bring you to the final 3 too? ;)
Smart way to change the subject Flum.

You and I both know that it isn't true that you brought me to final tribal because you thought I'd be easy to defeat. If you will stand before the jury and say with a straight face that this is why you brought me to final tribal, you can have your victory.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
Please. He brought you to final tribal cause I would have crushed the both of you.
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
I don't think you would have necessarily crushed us ghug lol. But you can make the most inane thing sound important. Don't think I haven't forgotten that time in mafia where you got me lynched because I was catching scum too successfully, and thus had to be bussing.
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Also Balki that's kind of the point. I didn't think you'd be easy to defeat. I also didn't think snowy would be easy to beat.
I do however think that in a final 3 of me, you, and snowy, that I'd pull out on top. Now maybe we'll never know.
There goes Flum again with his brazen complimenting.

A vote for Balki is a vote for conceited douchebaggery, brazen rudeness, truth, and the best played game.

A vote for Flum is a vote for lesser scheming, riding the right coattails, and careful sugar coating.

A vote for Demon is a vote for Demon to be your best friend.

God, I guess I'd vote for Demon too.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
Balki, you're really hurting my feelings by not responding to anything I say. I thought we had something special.

Keep this up and I might not vote for you.
@ghug,

Hey There Delilah is a lovely tune, and Plain White Ts are one of the greats.
@ghug, if you'd like to question me about the game, I'd be happy to answer. Your posts to me appeared less than serious.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
That's just, like, your opinion, man.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
Wow, you don't take me seriously?
Do you want me to answer that?

I don't think you're participating in this thread like someone who wants to consider arguments and award the best played game. And I don't think you're asking sincere questions; it looks more like baiting and ridiculing. And you're drunk. Also, the meter in my song was excellent.
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
@Balki: I actually have a torchwalk prepared where I brazenly compliment many players of this game (you included). But I'm saving to reveal it at postgame so my complimenting doesn't sound insincere. ;)
I'm going to bed. Thanks to all for putting in the effort. It's not necessarily a fun or fulfilling task to spend time deciding who else should win a game that you lost. For real, I'd probably be even more insufferable than I am in pleading my case. Kudos to all who have participated sincerely and seriously.
ghug (5068 D(B))
31 May 17 UTC
I am taking this seriously, Balki. I think you entirely ignored the jury part of survivor and played this like a game of diplomacy, and I think that's coming back to bite you now. It's very sad to see it happen, because I do like you, but I also get a bit of satisfaction out of watching it finally break down for you.
Fluminator (1500 D)
31 May 17 UTC
Anyway, I'm going to bed too.
Final argument of the day before going to bed.

Demon really was pretty apathetic for a lot of the game. The fact she didn't know idols couldn't be played in final 5 is evidence of that. The fact that she says she'd throw the tiebreaker at final 4 is evidence of that. She had one moment where she took out Moscow, but at least at the merge on, she didn't really have much power.

I think I played a better game than Balki and was in control for more of the votes. Ghug vote I was. Vash vote I was. He claims he influenced me in voting out Ezio (which honestly is probably partly true) but he said he was willing to sheep me that vote and if I voted ghug, he would have followed. He also just said not far up that he allied with me because he thought I would take him to the end. That sounds like he was the one riding the right coattails.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
I did know that Flum I played the fucking game, just forgot the round Snowy left at in terms of the correspondence to that. Don't lie. Also, throw the tiebreaker? What?
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
If I was actually apathetic I wouldn't be here in the final three. I definitely didn't cling onto you or Balki to get me here, I would appreciate it if you stop trying to downplay my role.
Ha! The 'ol pretend to go to bed but still check to make sure you get the last word trick works to perfection!

"I am taking this seriously, Balki. I think you entirely ignored the jury part of survivor and played this like a game of diplomacy, and I think that's coming back to bite you now. I feel good about my chances. Snowy, Ezio, and uclabb are three people I stabbed in order to get to the final three. They are taking it personally and coming down hard against me, while giving Flum a free pass because he was less influential. I think that's too bad. And they are vocal. But they are 3 of 11.

You are voting demon and trying to make me look bad cause God knows why.

I formed strong bonds with Moscow, Oztra, CommanderByron, Bo, Bozo, Glen, and Vashta. These folks have been less vocal, but their votes are worth just as much as yours.
Durga (3609 D)
31 May 17 UTC
You're trying to appeal to strong bonds when you admitted to lying to everyone about a final 3 alliance and the such? That's bold Balkins :p I feel like most of the people you listed would swing Flum, unfortunately for you.

Autocomplete public press
Basically the idea is to provide you with a centre so we can work together. The only press is public commitment to attack Italy. Every sentence may be in Gascony and the other games. The rest is autocompleted to find out what kind of player is required.

The thread regarding trump leaving the Paris accords. Could be viewed very much as a slighted innuendo of Trumps past. He has been accused of some sketchy things. Discuss.
