The king is dead game 2 and 3
I've decided to make 2 more on the American and modern diplomacy maps. The rules will be the same as in the last game, so to review it there will be 4 different roles, the king, the knights the rebels, and the traitor/ traitors. Rules continued below.

Remember When Obama Helped Disarm Ukraine
http://tinyurl.com/py3cndf

Ahhhhh, good times, good times. Remember when Obama helped secure $48 Million to help disarm the Ukraine? Remember when he started disarming the US? The hollow sound you hear from the White House these days is the empty sheath where our sabre used to be...and Putin is laughing his ASS off...

Diplomacy Statistics
I know everyone has their favorite country/countries, but I was wondering what is the country most statistically likely to win. Is there any way to calculate that from previous webdip games? Other than slogging through each and every one?

Some backstory for your review...
So, I am working on creating a new strategy game and, as we al know, there is more than just game mechanics to create a good game. If there weren't, we would be playing Diplomacy on a perfectly balanced board with some kind of geometric map, no a Map of Europe set just prior to the events of WWI. The following is the backstory for my game. Comments are more than welcome.

The Ukrainian People
So, we've been hearing a lot about the "will of the unified Ukrainian" people lately. Here's my provocative question: wouldn't the separation of Ukraine into two countries be the best for the Ukrainians? Look at these maps:

I've said I would have preferred the route where he remaining in power until early elections took place, as was negotiated with mediators. I support his removal from power moreso than I support the means by which it happened.

This article mentions Russian troops in control of all border posts and surrounding all military facilities in Crimea.
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/pro-russian-troops-crimea-terminal-ukraine-22748609

I'll respect your decision of not yielding for the sake of yielding, though.

In other news, this article is in Polish, but it mentions Russia airlifting more troops and heavy equipment to the Polish border at Kaliningrad. This is why Poland is scared.

How many times have people said an annexation is taking place without any support whatsoever? Now we get this garbage about ultimatums for surrender. Putin issued an order and BSF units mobilized around the Crimean base, that is all, and you people are going ballistic making all sorts of stuff up, because the media is irresponsibility making claims that aren't true.

"I support his removal from power moreso than I support the means by which it happened."

Right, so excuse me if I don't take your concern seriously if you're backing the rightwing coup anyway and repeatedly comparing Putin to Hitler for doing anything to come to their defense. That's not concern that is worth anything to me.

Your article repeats now discredited claims about ultimatums from Ukrainian defense sources and other accusations from "Ukrainian border guards".

"This is why Poland is scared."

Poland is hosting anti-Russian weapons systems from NATO and complaining about Russia defending itself in Kaliningrad. Typical Poland thinks everybody should just roll over for them.

Putin,

The Russians claimed that hundreds of thousands of Russians were fleeing Ukraine to seek refuge in Russia yesterday, only to have the accompanying footage magnified and find out that they were showing images of the Ukrainian boarder with Poland.

Can we please admit that both sides are playing the propaganda war with the passion of a Hollywood film studio? Thanks.

Yes, the second link was reported in ITAR-Tass, so I don't get what the evidence is that that is made up.

Your third link is a blog from the Herzen foundation and Khodorkovsky's group, enough said.

Show me evidence of ITAR-TASS bias. ITAR-TASS news reports are one paragraph long, they don't have any editorializing. Read for yourself.

This is the Zelaya coup all over again, with all the same excuses about how the coup was justified and a restoration of the rule of law, the same comparisons to Hitler, which people who have contempt for democracy always trot out when they want to overthrow a government.

The fact is the government offered the opposition the PM and all sorts of cabinet posts. The government was turned down by the thugs. Then a power sharing agreement was signed in Feb. 21, backed by the thugs western backers. And yet goldfinger *STILL* wants to compare Yanukovich and Putin to Hitler and claim the violent overthrow of the government was justified.

You know Putin, I don't actually believe that you believe in truth. I believe that you believe in outcome. You'd rather found the People's Republic of America on lies and propaganda then keep the USA that has the freedom of expression that is required for truth to prevail.

You will say anything, and do anything, to achieve your socialist objective. If denying that North Korea is a monarchy brings that objective closer, then denying it is. If accusing your debating partners of godwinning the discussion brings that objective closer, than slandering it is.

Truth does not interest you.

"Truth does not interest you."

Your idea is truth is believing every word of propaganda that comes out of your mouth, and vilifying every government that doesn't kowtow to Washington and Brussels demands. You're the same people who lied about WMDs in Iraq and have lied us into every war, and yet you clam everybody else isn't interested in truth.

Take a hike.
Putin33 (111 D)

And when we do find out the truth, after the smoke clears, and after people are dead, and after brutal disgusting authoritarian puppet governments are installed, and after democracy is overthrown, you people won't acknowledge you were wrong and will continue on as before, only to start again with the next manufactured crisis. You did this with Honduras, you did this with Georgia, you did this with Venezuela, you did this with Syria, you did this with Libya, you did this with Iraq, you're doing it now. It's the same old story on repeat. The victims of your lies you couldn't care less about.

Slandering? You're the same guy who brags about how you've been writing hit pieces on Obama about how he's a horrible President since before he even stepped into the Oval Office. You're the king of working backwards from the conclusions you want to reach, digging for whatever crap you can produce afterwards to justify it. And you're being sanctimonious about 'truth'. Spare me.

Apologies for the nasty tone. This issue is near and dear to me and I shouldn't let emotion get in the way of reasoned discourse, otherwise I should just not comment at all.

Peace.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
All I can say is I hope the Ukranian military surrounded in their bases in their home country make a long peaceful stand against this aggression. If they do they will earn a place in history. That is if they want to. I don't pretend to know the dynamics at play within those bases.

I wish there were a way to separate real draws
As a newbie, I've started a lot of low stakes games, which frequently end up in draws when we have lots of CDs. I wish there were a way to distinguish those draws that result when a solo effort fails. Sadly, people rarely are interested in cancelling

Scoring?
How are games scored here? If there is a draw, do all players involved score the same, or do we get points for how well we place? Similarly, if a single player wins do the survivors get points according to their final position?

What's the polite way to say buzz off?
In a couple of games I've had another player pestering me for an alliance. Unfortunately, it was someone I had already decided to fight (you gotta fight somebody), so I tried to ignore them.
But I don't want to be rude, and I don't want to explicitly say, "I'm going to send my troops to kill your children, steal your cows, and perpetrate tax fraud."
Is there a nice convention for saying, "I do not want an alliance with you at this time"?
