As a white British person we're not 'giving up our way of life'. We're expanding our horizons, welcoming new cuisines, cultures, festivals and art and making friends along the way. There isn't one thing we've given up.

We have a bit of a history of destroying our own iconography and whilst it's never pleasant we're happy for people to destroy their own property. We're also happy for people to depict Mohammed and satirize or offend religious people. Obviously we draw the line at injuring people or incitement to violence.

As far as I'm aware none of the videos happened in the UK, but that doesn't mean the threat of terrorism isn't real over here, of course it is. We working hard on confronting that threat and we recognize the difference between our Muslim neighbours and people who follow the so-called Islamic State. In fighting terrorism we know that radicalising peaceful Muslims won't help. Giving those who seek to do us harm ammunition that re-inforces their warped view of the world, that the west hates Muslims, isn't going to help. That's why Trump was wrong to retweet the videos. From our perspective he isn't trying to build bridges with the Muslims but is helping those who seek to divide us and that could lead to further attacks.

The mystery of the tweets for me is why FA used lies at all. The Muslim population aren't saints. You get good and bad with them as with everyone else. Finding stories of bad Muslims being despicable won't exactly be difficult.

There are also very legitimate issues with Muslim immigration, which you can quite easily post links to in the Mainstream Media.

Take this story in the Guardian about Polish workers in the UK finding the reality of Muslim immigration so appalling that they're joining the far right when they go home.

The connection between Britain First and the Jo Cox murderer is actually pretty weak. He wasn't a member of the organisation, and whilst his internet search history included the Nazis, KKK, and the British National Party, Britain First didn't seem to be on his radar.

The only connecting evidence is that witnesses say they heard him shout "Britain First" during the attack. However witnesses also say he shouted "This is for Britain", "Britain will always come first", and "keep Britain Independent", so it not particularly clear whether he was referencing the organisation or just making general points about Britain.

Eh, it's not as implausible as you might think. (Intelligence Agencies) have a long history of setting up mentally unstable individuals to be the fall-guys for their less savoury gambits.

It is an utterly ridiculous suggestion. Even in some twisted alternate reality in which these things happen, it would be far easier, more effective, and less murdery to discredit Farage with a fake scandal than to murder Cox.

The parallels between a Swedish case when a politician was murdered and it swung the vote on the Euro are interesting to me.

It's not crazy to suggest that if you arm a fringe loon and they kill someone and are alleged to have said "Britain First!" in the act by someone who wasn't even a witness to the murder that people would feel more reluctant to associate themselves with a patriotic movement for a hotly debated contemporary topic.

In many cases, the people who join Britain First are from poor working families who have most keenly felt the impacts of both wage compression due to migrant oversaturation and their young daughters have disproportionately been the victims of the widespread islamic grooming gangs.
