Also, as opening thoughts, I find myself trusting Jeff, Yoyo and Balki for now, this will likely change and I might be wrong, but there it is. This is more guessing for now, so I can't offer any good evidence on my thoughts yet.

Balki generating pressure is what gets people talking more, and that's creates a larger pool of evidence to pull from when making a case, is it not? So these votes definitely help.

Generating pressure is good. But voting randomly doesn't help, as I believe I articulated above. As I said, the point is to begin making credible cases against people and make them explain their actions and intentions. I am not going to squirm if you cast a meaningless vote on me without at least a credible basis, and I don't think anyone else will either.

@Balki - considering we're on page five, reaction votes until there's enough tangible to build a case on is my way to go - this also explains why my posts have generally been very short so far, any case I made wouldn't be that useful

Balki, without random bullshit votes we have no information to create cases from. Every game so far has moved naturally from joke posts and votes, to pseudorandom votes, to a phase where you start to have cases.

ND, thanks for asking for clarification, I forgot to add your name above. There are a lot of people right now with very few actions that can be accurately judged aside from hindsight. I don't know any of you well at all, and none of you know me. Anything I say can be judged several different ways. I don't know if those asking me questions are trying to shift blame onto me, or genuinely suspect me, or are just following my wish to go first. With that said (a perfect example for what I am about to say) I have a tendency to ramble and my posts now are an example of that

I am also trying to answer questions (the majority of which are at me) while trying to find out the Mafia. As such I am not putting as much effort into my posts now, as that means I am spending less time answering other questions and finding the Mafia.

Tr, I actually don't want you to follow my advice but I am glad that you see the reason behind it.

While I don't think it's scummy instead of just a huge difference in playstyle, Balki's dismissal of pressure votes kind of irks me.

Yoyo doesn't seem scummy, which is scummy, but that's not a great reason to think him a huge suspect yet.

Espi is really weird, I don't know what to make of him.

I am not dismissing pressure votes. I am saying that a random vote is not useful. making a cohesive argument for why someone is mafia is extremely helpful. It is helpful whether it is accompanied by a vote or not.

Anyway, I'm just stating my (unsharpened) thoughts on the game. I'm sorry that I'm coming across as a lecturer. You are free to have a different view, and I appreciate that you're putting thought into it.

BB, I am putting in some effort, just not so much that I focus on defending myself and not paying attention to the thread around me. Also on page 3 Yoyo was pushing me to respond to questions faster as taking more then 4 minutes to respond apparently is a no go.

guak does have a good point, and that's also why my vote is currently on bo.
