It's whenever you push the "all conservatives are evil and racist and secretly hate women and whoever else" that causes division, because racism is a terrible thing that most people rightfully think is despicable, so when you try to paint an entire group of people (making up almost half the population) as being racist it's going to cause people in your echo chamber to believe you and as a consequence hate a lot of people increasing tensions.

I don't even know anything about this Britain First group but when you call absolutely everything racist (like you do) it allows actually racist things to blend in more and harder to root out.
If someone who didn't spam that word out for everything that they disagree with came on and said this was a racist group, I would believe them. As it is, whatever you call racist I just assume is you being hysterical or manipulative.

And I think that's the problem with a huge portion of the conservatives in America. They're so used to hearing that everything is racist that it's no longer the impactful word it is and allowing actual racists to get into congress. (Need voting ID? RACIST! And yes, it doesn't excuse conservatives from letting actual racism get through, but you're not helping things at all, and even if you think you're always in the right (which you aren't) what's better?

If the UK ambassador to the USA raises it via official channels, doesn't that tell you something? If the embassy of the Netherlands feels compelled to make an official statement, doesn't that tell you something? If virtually all MPs in the house of commons, including Trump fan Farage state that his endorsement in unacceptable, doesn't that tell you something about Britain First? They are convicted racists.

And he insulted at least two allied countries by doing this. If the USA want to achieve things internationally, they will need friends, allies and goodwill. It is not wise to ruin relations with friends and allies over something like this. He should be smarter and wiser.
